Nice cottage, but damp
Val really needs to replace her instruction book. We didn’t have any recycle bins in the house, even though she said their were and she had told us. Other that a couple conversations with Val, there wasn’t instructions on how to separate our trash. The house got very damp. To the point our clothes even felt damp. It’s got a great location and you can see Stirling Castle and the William Wallace monument. Dehumidifier would have been good or an exhaust fan in the laundry room. Not too bad of a stay, just needed those instructions.

Unfortunate Experience
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend that anyone stay here due to the host’s intrusive and inappropriate treatment of us. While the property is nice, the environment created by Val’s behavior is not one I would recommend. She wandered through the home we stayed in, which is next door to her main residence, whenever she saw fit, whether we were there or not, even removing items. She continually made passive aggressive comments. She made us feel unwelcome. It was quite alarming. This is an important FYI. Based off our experience, I cannot offer my recommendation.

Girls get together
What a wonderful weekend we have just had at Bankend Farm, Val was a wonderful host and we couldn’t have asked for more. Fantastic recommendations for places to eat, helped us get a taxi when we were loosing faith with the taxi companies in Stirling and as for the house it was clean, light and we all slept brilliantly. Perfect for a get together with plenty of room, we don’t want to say too much as we shall definitely be recommending for a catch up venue for family and friends. We shall return

This house and farm has been in my family for 3 generations.
It's still a working farm but not so intensely by me now.
There's always masses to do, especially at hay time, we have horses and of course the holiday house.
My daughter helps, when around as we breed a few horses still .

Why they chose this property

Bankend, has been a great family home for generations of , it's always been a very sociable place, and holds great memories of fun times for many of my relations and friends going back through the generations .
I think when you stay here you will understand why.
Lovely relaxing, and super handy for everything.

What makes this property unique

Proximity to Stirling. Main road networks, train station to go to Edinburgh and Glasgow.are massive plus points to this property.
Defiantly has a unique location, as you benefit from lovely views a beautiful comfortable house, but not isolated.
It's cosy and you don't have to be a large group to enjoy it.the house evolves , therefore you don't feel you are living in a big house. Also it looks like a cottage , but it's a little tardus . The house also has many original features , beautiful old fireplaces and some original pieces .
There is a good patio with large dining table and barebeque, the field next to the house usually has horses in it , so you tend to get visits from them.
I am sure you will enjoy your stay . We just pray for sunshine !,
