About this property
Amazing sea view and 3 bedrooms
It was love at first sight when we first saw Bay View Cottage, with it's spectacular sea views and perfect North Cornwall location. We have spent a lot of time and effort making this a place we can really call a home from home all year round.
Bay View Cottage is perfectly situated, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, over-looking Gull Rock at Trebarwith Strand and across the bay towards the Rumps in the West.
The 3 bedroom cottage would suit two small families or one larger one or alternatively a group of friends! While it comfortably sleeps 6 there is also an additional sofa-bed in the downstairs sitting room if required. All the linen provided is Egyptian cotton.
The main house consists of:
A large sun room/conservatory with stunning views over Gull Rock and the North Cornwall Coast. It has a large dining table that seats 8 people with a comfortable sofa and armchair to relax in and watch the ever changing seascape.
A master bedroom with a king size wrought-iron bed where you can even enjoy the views while relaxing!
A twin room with 2 single beds looking out onto the upstairs deck and the view beyond.
A cosy living room with TV (Freeview HD) and DVD player, a wood-burning stove, a 4 seater Chesterfield plus additional 2 seater sofa
A well appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances including range gas-cooker, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.
A well-appointed family bathroom with bath, shower and a large heated towel rail.
A small utility/cloak room with washing machine.
From the conservatory there is a spiral staircase leading down to additional annexe space.
This has a large living-room containing a comfy double sofa-bed, giant bean-bag, TV with console gaming platform, other indoor games and books plus access to the large decking outside.
There is also a double bedroom with a zip and link bed which can be presented either as a king-size bed or two singles. There is a further shower room and toilet next door.
There are two areas of decking at the cottage, one upstairs and accessible from the conservatory, which is a perfect sunspot to enjoy a cup of tea or something stronger as the sun goes down.
The second is a much larger area with space to lounge, dine and barbecue. It boasts an outdoor table and wooden seating for 8 which is accessible both from the garden and the downstairs living room and bedroom.
There is also considerable further garden space below the decking to relax and enjoy in privacy.
Please note: bedroom 3, living room 2 and the shower room are linked to the conservatory by a spiral staircase or can be accessed from the decking at the back of the house.
Guests will have access to the whole house and the first part of the garden down to the summer house.
Guests will be able to store beach things and hang wetsuits in a covered area at the side of the house, but will unfortunately not be able to access the shed or summer house.
There are 2 parking spaces available at the property; one just in front of the house by the garden wall and one at the bottom of the shared driveway by the garden shed. Please note however the driveway is relatively steep and may not suit all vehicles. Alternative parking is available on the road opposite the house but please take care when crossing.
Bay View Cottage has no mobile reception however we do have a land-line for local calls only.
Bay View Cottage has restricted access for those with mobility issues although all facilities are available on the main floor - please call if you have specific concerns.

About the host
Hosted by Neil Cuthbertson

My family and I have spent much of our lives holidaying in Cornwall and are constantly drawn back to this beautiful part of the world.
Why they chose this property
When the opportunity arose to make Bay View Cottage ours, we jumped at the chance and have taken a lot of time, care and effort to make it a real holiday home-from-home.
We love spending time with our family and friends around this part of the coast. The kids enjoy learning to fish, surf and kayak here. I love cycling the hills and my wife likes to discover the local shops and restaurants nearby.
Whilst we still work and live in London at the moment, our hearts are in Cornwall. However from a practical perspective we have a local support network here to ensure everything runs smoothly for your stay.
We hope you enjoy the place as much as we do.
