Family holiday

We had a great stay at the villa it’s was within walking distance to old town and the marina.Villa was clean and comfortable the pool was great for relaxing would be a bit deep for children.Vincent was very friendly and helpful would stay here again

Perfect

Amazing from start to finish. Vincente greeted us and showed us round. Gave us great directions on how to get into old town, which is a 10 minute walk. The supermarket is 2 minutes away with a restaurant/bar next door that does an all you can eat bbq on a Sunday. This villa is in a great location with everything you will need. The pool is just perfect and where we spent most of our time. We will definitely be back

Needs attention but in good location

Firstly I will start with the positives, Vicente is an amazing host-We had an issue with the pool and hesorted asap-the house could be described as traditional Portuguese in decoration however it is looking very tired &needs small remedial works doing to bring it to a good standard .tile chips everywhere but potentially dangerous on the stairs The pool is great but there are cracked stones which need replacing. furniture & table around the poolside are all in need of replacement - the chairs are fraying, supposed white plastic ones look horrific - The table needs fixing. We didn’t use the BBQ so can’t comment however there are 3 parasol bases some of which are usuable but the worst is the parasol umbrella themselves which were full of mold.Why even have these available?There are weedsThere are 2 bathrooms in the property - one has a bath but there is no plug to use the bath. There is a 1st aid sign above another rusty shelf but no box The toilet seat is absolutely rank. The 2nd bathroom the shower&enclosure are brilliant BUT seriously why would you put/leave a rusty old, filfthy toilet brush and roll holder in there as this was not a great first impression! Get rid of ornaments & flowers as this would improve 1st impression in lounge.kitchen has everything you require I’m not sure if this place has been left to rot due to previous unpleasant holiday makers that Vicente relayed to us with a number of horror stories

El alojamiento tiene todo lo que se necesita , está bien distribuido para 4 personas y ubicado a 10 minutos del centro y de la playa en una zona tranquila. Supermercado al lado .

Het huisje was een goeie staat, op de bedlakens na, die waren niet al te schoon. Verder geen klachten alleen was de locatie net iets te ver van de Strip. De airconditioning was ook zeer prettig.

We really enjoyed our stay in Albufeira. View of the ocean is spectacular. Many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Food market just 900 meters away. Many places to visit at an affordable price. Our host Vincent was very knowledgeable and helpful in providing all necessary information to make our stay very enjoyable.

Nos alojamos 10 días y la verdad es que la casa deja bastante que desear en cuanto a la limpieza y estado del mobiliario,los colchones de la habitación pequeña tendrán no menos de 10 años imposible dormir se te clavan los muelles que da gusto y limpieza de baños y cocina da miedo nada más llegar nos tocó limpieza de ambos a fondo. La piscina y la ubicación si que son inmejorables pero la limpieza tira mucho para atrás.

This was in a great location with bars, supermarket and restaurant on doorstep . Great views of the sea and marina, Well appointed with everything you need. Very clean and great swimming pool. Would have no hesitation in booking this again.

Not luxurious but location 5*

Casa Solmar would have gotten 5 stars for the location alone 10 min to town 5 min from beach and a shop just around the corner. However the house let its location down. Nothing major just needed a little TLC, as things like shower not working properly, some mould in bathroom, broken tiles and air con not working in one of the bedrooms, which we had to wait around until engineers had a look at it (this should not have been our job, eating into our holiday time) It was just lucky that we had no excursions booked. The air con was not fixable during our stay.
