About this property
Hidden gem with spectacular rooftop chillout area
“Les Voltes is an incredible house that has been thoughtfully and lovingly restored. Our stay was magical. We were sad to leave such an incredible town, and perfect flat”- Rikki
Wood beams, stone floors, and a 200-year-old fresco preserve our home's character and charm. The stylish renovation adds modern elements with guest comfort in mind.
The dreamy rooftop terrace has a vista of clay tile roofs surrounded by a distant patchwork of vineyards. And our community pool is great for a splash.
“A beautiful, clean and exquisitely decorated apartment.” - Montse
Our fully-equipped, modern kitchen has a Silestone countertop, 90 cm gas HOB, and a powerful, silent extractor. The fresh garden-box herbs will enhance the flavor of any dish. Grill a steak on the rooftop BBQ and serve with a garden salad and wine of course!
Appliances include:
- Dishwasher
- Oven/microwave
- Fridge-freezer
- Italian coffee maker and kettle
- Toaster
- Juicer
Stay connected with high-speed WiFi, a television, a computer, with a soundbar. Unplug with books, board games, or a deep conversation stargazing into the milky way on the terrace.
Spin some vinyl and groove to your favorite tunes in the Chill Room, adjacent to the terrace and view. Jordi and I make our 600 LP collection and even a disco ball available to our guests. It's often an unexpected highlight for guests of all ages.
Looking up into the star-filled heavens on a clear night is an absolute MUST. Our village and the surrounding area has no light pollution. Seeing the heavens and beyond quite literally touches the soul. Evenings at Les Voltes are memorable and magical. Raise a toast to Spain, and finding Les Voltes.
“Anne and Jordi's place is a real sensory experience. Tastefully renovated, it's a perfect place to feel at home with friends or family. “- Abel
The apartment has heating and air conditioning although often guests find that an open window and ceiling fan keeps airflow and the temperature just right.
Both bedrooms have new mattresses and blackout blinds for a refreshing night's rest. There is one modern bathroom.
Here are a few more specifics:
- 1 double bedroom (150-cm bed)
- 1 triple bedroom with 2+1 bunk bed (135 cm + 90 cm)
- 1 bathroom
- Hairdryer
- Hair straightener
“Anne and Jordi, both extremely beautiful people. They welcome you to their home better than family.” - Rajesh
Jordi and I are happy to provide tips on dining, culture and adventure. We even make two e-bikes available, plus a garage to tune-up or store your bikes to help you better explore the countryside like a local.
LOCATION:
Barbera de la Conca, Catalonia is an off-the-beaten-track gem.
Allow enough time during your stay to explore the area. History buffs will want to visit the Spanish castles. Trace the footsteps of 11th-century medieval knights and learn about their fall from grace.
Book a wine tour. Catalonia is a destination in Spain known for wine tourism. Barbera even has its own Wine Cathedral. The Cistercian Route is rich with cultural heritage and hiking in gorgeous surroundings.
“We couldn't have found a better place to do the Cistercian route”. - Joan
Venture to Barcelona and set sail on a sunset jazz cruise. Take a cooking class and learn how to make authentic Paella.
Tarragona is the closest port town with beaches, Roman amphitheaters, and architecture.
If adventure is more your style, zipline over the woods or find some excitement at a theme park.
Spain truly has something for everyone, including festivals for every occasion in each city, town, and village, all year long. Food, music, art, you name it, there is a party to celebrate it.
Return in the evenings to Les Voltes to dream atop the terrace, and savor each and every day.
