The property was as we remembered it - a cosy bolt hole from which to explore Lincolnshire. The high standards have been maintained and we were welcomed warmly. We couldn't have asked for more!
An excellent little property that is truly home from home. All the facilities you could wish for and truly lovely hosts, who provided provisions such as bread, butter, tea, coffee, jam and marmalade. John gave us ideas for days out, places to eat and was really helpful. Will certainly be returning to this home from home.
You couldn't wish to find a more welcoming and friendly host as John, very helpful and knowledgable. The cottage is a lovely place to stay, and the picture's dont do it justice. If we come to lincolnshire again, would certainly stay there again
The pictures don’t do the cottage justice ,the minute we walked through the door it felt like coming home .Everything we needed was there the little touches were lovely .The welcome pack was very nice bread butter milk juice lovely The welcome from our host as well .Happy says it all .ThanksJohn .
We were greeted by John who told us if we had any problems to let him know. The property itself was comfortable, homely yet private. We would not hesitate to book again when next in the area.

Lovely property and hosts had made a real effort to make it home from home from the fresh flowers and food essentials all provided. Fantastic guest experience all round.

This is one of the best holiday homes we've stayed in - spacious, comfortable, and plush (good bed linen and towels, including proper bath sheets etc); well resourced and stocked (sharp knives, cupboard space, washing machine etc). The furnishings and decor (plump sofas; dresser with china) really gave a homely feeling. Lots to do in the area too. We're definitely going back!
Saddlery Holiday Cottage was an absolutely wonderful place to stay, clean, extremely well equipped, and the hosts could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. If ever back to this area, we will definitely stay there again!
This delightful cottage is cosy and beautifully decorated. Well-equipped kitchen; sleek, elegant bathroom with powerful shower. So pretty throughout! Owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area without being at all intrusive. Folders of useful information available in the cottage. Walking distance of good village store and 2 pubs — although the better of the pubs in our opinion (The New Inn) is a bit of a hike (you will work up a thirst!). Very attractive village — great location for checking out the Wolds. Nothing negative to say about our experiences here at all.
Welcomed by a lovely host John and informed us of what we needed to know for our stay. A lovely charming property for a few nights away. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anybody.
We arrived to a warm and welcoming cottage, everything was beautifully set out, together with a most appreciated fridge of essentials.
Lots of information on places to visit, walks etc. from our kind host’s which we took full advantage of, making a lovely memorable holiday.
We have been to many self-catering properties over the past fifty years, this was one of the very best. The quality of the furnishings and fittings is very good, and parking is easy We found we need not have brought any provisions with us, tea, coffee, butter etc were fresh and lasted us the full fortnight. A full change of linen at the end of the first week was a pleasant surprise and the vases of roses a lovely touch! The only note of caution is that the property is not suitable for those with limited mobility as the stairs are steep.
Our stay at the saddlery cottage at North Thoresby
We were greeted shortly after our arrival and made very welcome and there was a good welcome pack really lovely cottage and everything was high quality.Lovely village and good location would not hesitate to recommend it.
A truly beautiful home from home, perfect for 2 people. We arrived after dark and the fire, heating and some lighting had been put on for our arrival, we also found a welcome pack of some basic essentials which was a lovely touch. John popped over to greet us (the house is in the grounds of his stunning home) to ensure we were happy and settling in, he was also able to advise on local places of interest and places to eat. We tried the Halfway House pub and Grill which was just a short walk and had a good steak dinner. Apart from Fish and chips at the coast, we ate at the house the rest of the time as we were only there 2 nights and just wanted to realx. We could not fault the property at all, it is even better than the pictures...very well equipped with luxurious furnishings, comfy bed and a huge bathroom with lovely big fluffy towels. We wish we could have stayed longer but would definitely like to return.
Only stayed two nights, but cottage was beautifully presented and comfortable. It is located in an attractive village, ideally situated for exploring the Lincolnshire wolds and coastline.
A very nice 4 night break at the Saddlery, super clean, well equipped, very comfortable high quality cottage. John is a very good host, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He is there if you need him and not there if you don't. perfect!
Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at the Saddlery Cottage. It was far better than expected - the cottage had a superb ambience, it was warm and inviting and was beautifully decorated. It was fitted with everything one could possible need, as well as a welcome breakfast pack for a tired traveler. It was very clean and smelt like freshly picked roses. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and helped us get around Lincolnshire to see as much as possible. I would recommend the Saddlery - you will not be dissappointed
