There is a ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the sitting room has a dining area and a multi-fuel stove in Inglenook fireplace. Outside is off road parking and an enclosed rear decked garden with furniture and BBQ. Ashdowne makes a wonderful base from which to enjoy the coast, countryside, castles, Cragside and more!

Town: Set in the heart of Northumberland between the Cheviots and the coast, the village of Longframlington provides access to a range of walking opportunities throughout this picturesque region. Brinkburn Priory is a short drive away and offers visitors a chance to see the restored Augustinian Priory beside the River Coquet. Just 10 minutes drive to the west is the National Trust's Cragside House and Gardens, whilst 15 minutes in the opposite direction will lead to the Heritage Coast and miles of clean, sandy beaches. The historic town of Alnwick, with its impressive Castle and Garden, is only six miles to the north whilst the spectacular National Park is also within easy reach.

Lovely cottage, beautifully furnished in an excellent location for exploring Northumberland

The cottage was easy to find. The decor was modern and fresh. Comfortable beds and bedding and good shower over the bath. We were left clear instructions and could make everything work except the drier. Tried ringing Sykes Cottages but couldn't get through. Kitchen was well equipped. Just needed a cheese grater and soup ladel. We had lovely food at the local cafe and pub and the shop is really handy. Location is great for all that Northumberland offers - beaches, Newcastle, market towns, castles etc. We will definitely be back.
