A very well appointed, quiet and spotlessly clean cottage where my wife and I stayed for 4 nights over New Year. It was a great base for local walks in the forests and on the mountainsides and a trip on Loch Katrine. The pub next door was very handy for a couple of drinks after days spent out and about.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Location
Nice cottage, but not private and a bit noisy.
This is a very clean, very well equipped cottage. The bed is very comfortable. I would have preferred some more information about the local area. The booking information mentions a pub nearby but it doesn’t warn about the excessive noise. (As an aside, the pub is rubbish)The plume of cannabis smoke that we seat underneath reminded us of home. The garden was also overlooked by the house next door.
So, a nice cottage with a premium price tag, but with some issues.

Noise can be reported to the police or to the local authorities. It is up to guests to be pro active if they are disturbed as per arrival instructions sent. Regarding drug smells, there is no law in the hand of property owners that can control in any way external air. Guests need to review the property itself Not the neighbouring properties or others behaviour! The property provides all equipment, it is cleaned, modern with a large garden and guests received generous welcome pack. Most of the priced paid is commission +vat by platforms and agents....Your comments seem to deviate from the serviced you received.
This is a very update cottage that is comfortable and quiet and perfect for 2 people. Situated steps from a pub and about a 5 minute drive from Callander. We had a great stay and the owner was helpful with tips for things to do.
Good cottage for a short walking break - conveniently located for various walks and handy pub next door. Cottage is well equipped with everything you need.
This little place is beautiful and perfect for a relaxed get away. The people in the pub next door are also amazing and the location itself is soo beautiful!

Cosy hideaway
We absolutely loved Trunkie cottage - beautifully decorated and perfectly located. You have a lovely drive to get there, but have a great local inn next door so you feel totally private but not isolated.
If we had any questions the owner came back to us quickly, and overall with the furnishings, amenities, surroundings and overall experience I couldn’t recommend it enough as a getaway for 2.
Thanks again,
Miriam and Craig

Small but perfectly formed cottage
A lovely cosy cottage, perfect for a long weekend stay in a beautiful part of the world for 2 people. A very well kitted out cottage containing all you need to make breakfast, lunch & dinner. The pub next door does great food & drink too. Lovely walks directly from the cottage available. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect!
Perfect for a couple of days away. The cottage was beautifully appointed, clean and modern and we would use it again if we were staying in the area. It was a perfect base for us to explore Callander, climb Ben Aan and for a walk along the falls of Leny. If you were staying longer than a few days then the cottage would benefit from storage/drawers in the bedroom as there was nowhere to unpack to apart from a small wardrobe with hanging space. Also, bring or buy your own logs as none are provided.

Excellent cottage and stunning location
We stayed here for our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The cottage itself is fantastic and equipped well enough for a short stay. The village of Brig o Turk, where the cottage is situated is fantastic for walks in the Trossachs and the local village of Callender is only a 5 minute drive away.
The only down side was that the cottage wasn’t cleaned to our expected standard with some dusty/dirty areas. A very minor blemish on an awesome break.

A great base for exploring the Trossachs
Our stay here was great apart from a couple of hiccups, when we arrived an hour after our check in time there were a few men there installing the WiFi. We didn't want to get in their way so we waited around the area for a couple of hours and then went in, they apologised after leaving another half hour later and it was ok since we had been informed about this by the owner and it was clear that the property had only recently been completed. It was just a bit intrusive and meant we ate very late.
The other issue was being woken up early on Tuesday and Wednesday morning by the builders next to the property.
The property itself however is really comfortable. The open plan area on the downstairs is brilliant with lots of space to eat and relax. The kitchen could do with a couple of extra items but is generally very well equipped. The upstairs is also great with a comfortable bed and the en suite is nice too. The upstairs door only locks from the outside for some reason so if you open it from the inside you have to run round outside and lock it again!?
The position of the property in the national park is excellent with many walks on the properties doorstep. The car park for Ben A'an is a 5 minute drive down the road and Callander is just a 10-15 minute drive away for supplies.
There are many places to eat nearby as well, Callander has a few good restaurants and the tea room in Brig O' Turk is lovely. The Byre Inn adjacent to the property is currently being refurbished but when finished I'm sure it would be great to have next door! The garden is also a nice space.
Overall we had a great time and would recommend this property to couples who want some peace and relaxation whilst exploring the national park.
