Rustic Ranch meets Refined Elegance - Located in the Heart of Texas, just 2 hours by car from Forth Worth or Austin, 2 1/2 from Dallas, 3 from San Antonio and 5 1/2 from Houston, 5F Ranch offers 800 acres of fun and relaxation. A beautiful lodge and spacious cabin allows up to 12 guests. Come and stay to relish in the beauty of the rolling hills of Central Texas. Covered porches, fire pit, BBQ cooking pit, gorgeous views, sporting clays, swimming pond, fishing, pool table, Wireless internet in Lodge, photo safari, hiking, biking, historic cemetery, satellite TV.
Sporting Clay Wobble is optional. $75/100 shots) bring your own shotgun and shells. Pool and hit tub being installed next to the fire pit in backyard overlooking a beautiful view.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

We stayed at the ranch and it's always the best weekend getaway. From the food to the lodging to the hospitality of Lane and Pattii (it's like the Ritz but for hunters) there is always so much to see and do.

We had the most incredible stay at this property — truly one of the prettiest places we’ve ever stayed. Everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and so thoughtfully prepared. Our family made the best memories here, and our kids absolutely loved it.The host went above and beyond, even surprising us with a homemade blueberry cake that was insanely delicious! It made the stay feel extra special.We can’t wait to come back. If you’re considering booking, do it — you won’t regret it. This home is a gem!

Birthday weekend on the ranch

Exceeded all our expectations. Everyone had so much fun and loved the ranch, it was incredibly spacious, comfortable, so well decorated and well stocked. We loved how secluded we were, all the animals, the property, the fire pit and more… Pictures don’t do it justice! Thanks for hosting us! We hope to be back one day

Super Bowl Party Trip

The lodge, cabins and amenities were beyond excellent. The rooms, beds, bathrooms were clean, fresh and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare large meals for our group of 8. The great room is top notch and sat our large group with ease. The porches and yard are perfect for hanging out all day and night and for vowing the numerous animals on the property. Do not pass on this if you are looking for a one of a kind ranch experience with your family or friends!

Majestic Lodge Escape During the Solar Eclipse

We had the extraordinary opportunity to watch the solar eclipse from this property, and it exceeded all our expectations. The lodge itself is nothing short of amazing—uniquely and fantastically decorated and furnished, spacious, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The property is huge, featuring a serene lake, frequent deer sightings, and excellent hiking trails. The views from the property are truly breathtaking, and the kitchen is well-stocked with every tool and appliance imaginable. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and memorable—they even made us homemade banana bread! Highly recommended for a unique getaway that combines luxury with the great outdoors.

Great property for our family reunion

My family hadn’t had a real reunion in probably 10 years or so. Our hosts welcomed us to the lodge with a homemade blueberry coffee cake, a special touch that showed us they wanted us to have a great time. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Wow!!! Amazing getaway

We were so impressed with this ranch from the moment we pulled up to the entrance, the beautiful animals along the way to the Lodge, and entering the impressive Lodge with all of the amenities desired in a home away from home. The cabins outside the Lodge have first class accommodations and are steps to the main Lodge. There was so much to do around the ranch from viewing the amazing animals, to fishing and swimming in the lake, and sitting out by the fire pit. We had such a great time and look forward to booking our next visit.

Our favorite Getaway

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway then we highly recommend 5F Ranch. We have been there several times during hunting season as well as the off season just to enjoy a weekend of pure relaxation. Being able to bring our dog with us is very important to us too. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and surrounded by the breathtaking views of the ranch with the most amazing sunrises you will ever see. We really enjoy the tour rides of the ranch to see all the wildlife, the small lake, and the very old settlers cemetery. The clean and comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and the warm friendly hospitality of Lane and Pattii Laning is more than one could ask for.

Outdoor experience and hunting

This is a fabulous hunting experience. gorgeous ranch and lodge. Lane and Patti are personable and very accommodating. For me, I just like being out in the woods. So, even though I took my deer on the first evening, Lane continued to take me out looking for coyotes and hogs. I just love the place.

"WOW"... such an incredible place! Beautiful ranch, plentiful wildlife, excellent service, cozy and top comfort! You can not ask for a nicer hunting outfit or better people than the Lanings. Truly kind, loving, down to earth people. Patti is a top rate cook, Lane and Nicholas are top rate guides. We take clients on an annual hunt, and hunt ourselves as well. One Mother's Day, we took our parents o the 5F for a nice week-end get away. We look forward to this trip each year, and highly recommend 5F Ranch for any get away event!

Awesome Yearly Family Trip

We've been going to the 5F Ranch for several years. The whole family enjoys every minute of it, including our dog. The ranch and game are fantastic. The lodge is first class all the way. Unbelievable food and service. We are treated like royalty. The Laning Family that runs the 5F Ranch are the finest people we know. They make us feel so warm and welcome. Especially with their prayers before every meal. Nice! Can't wait to go back...
