OWNER NEEDS 3 Days NOTICE OF BOOKING PLEASE.

A chalet-style house with a south-facing patio and small enclosed garden. The habitable area measures 175.20 sq. metres, 87.60 sq. metres on both floors. It is well-equipped for children. It is also 3 miles from Le Touquet and Stella Plage with their wonderful long sandy beaches. The thriving small port of Etaples is 1 1/2 miles away with all facilities. There is a restaurant 10 minutes walk away and supermarkets within easy reach. 10 golf courses within 1 hour's drive.

The house is best suited to a maximum of 6 people (seating in living room) but two more can be easily accommodated. There are two double bedrooms, 1 with a king-size bed and 1 with twin beds. The two other bedrooms have bunk beds, which are full-size, 3' x 6'. 1 bunk bedroom has computer games, The other is small with a baby changing unit.

ALL BEDDING, BATHROOM LINEN, KITCHEN TOWELS AND TEA CLOTHS ARE WASHED BETWEEN LETS. YOU CAN BE ASSURED THAT ALL THESE ARE CHANGED AND FRESHLY WASHED FOR YOUR RENTAL.

There is a desk in the hall with a lamp and an electricity point below for work requirements. FREE WIFI. There is also a folding table and two folding chairs in the hall which can be used to extend the dining table.

The living area has 2 2-seater sofas and 2 armchairs and a wood-burning stove. In the same room is the dining table and 6 chairs. A small folding table and 2 chairs are located in the hall if you wish to add them to the dining table for 2 extra people.

There is 1 spacious double bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom plus a bathroom on each floor. The downstairs bathroom also has a small bath. Upstairs, the bathroom is large with cupboards and is situated between the landing and the bunk bedroom. (see floor plan).

The kitchen is quite small but is well-equipped with a fridge/freezer, combi- microwave/fan heated oven, an extra microwave oven and a dishwasher. There are many dishes for cooking, eating and plenty of utensils.

In the garage you will find garden furniture, a charcoal barbecue, 4 rather old mountain bikes which still work fine and a BMX bike. Also some buckets and spades for the beach.

In the corner of the garden there are a table and chairs for you to sit and relax in the sun. The front of the house has French doors and a south-facing patio.

You can park your car in the drive, or in a designated space in the road outside the house. The road is a quiet residential road in the village of Cucq.

There is a restaurant, Chez Philippe, 10 minutes walk from the house. There is a large wood 5 minutes walk away for walks.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please turn off the water. In the cupboard under the sink in the kitchen there is a red handle on the right, CLOSE TO THE FLOOR. PLEASE TURN IT TO AN UPRIGHT POSITION. (NOT the handle at the top)
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

7 days' notice of a booking is required.. cleaning is done on a Saturday so I can't take short notice bookings i.e. less than 7 days.

This house is truly our second home and I have invested a lot of my time in it and very much want our customers to feel at home.

Why they chose this property

This property is close to the coast, 2 lovely beaches within 3 miles each way. Le Touquet is the smart resort with many attractive shops, restaurants and facilities. Stella-Plage is more of a family resort but both have superb beaches. There are many activities for adults and children in the area.

There are several superb golf courses within 1 hour's drive

There are many restaurants to sample with consistently good quality French food, who are always willing to cater for children.

Apart from the beaches there are many places inland to visit. (See our box files in the house). Historical World War sites, La Coupole at St. Omer, Arras, Montreuil-sur-Mer, Bagatelle theme park for little ones. Direct train ride to Eurodisney (2 1/2 hours). Famous bird sanctuary at Marquenterre). LeCrotoy (Joan of Arc) and the Bay of the Somme.
There are charming villages, medieval Montreuil-sur-Mer with a walk around the ramparts, children's activities with Aqualud water park in Le Touquet, Bagatelle amusement park, Opalventure adventure park, a nearby maze, Mareis in Etaples, hands-on fishing industry museum to learn about the French fish and local industry. Further afield, Arras, Amiens, Paris (possible by train) and Eurodisney.

Paris is 2 1/2 hours away by train from Etaples.

This area has a tremendous amount to offer and is often side-lined by people wishing to travel further south. Although close to England, it remains very French but English tourists are well-catered for and English is spoken in most restaurants and places of interest.

What makes this property unique

We loved our French home the moment we saw it. It has character with vaulted celings and a homely feel. It has a small garden but quite enough room to have a barbecue, sit in the sunshine and the children can run round the house, of which we have had many competitions. There are two spacious double bedrooms and two bunk bedrooms so one or two families can be easily accommodated. Lovely walks in the woods surrounding Le Touquet are 5 minutes from the house. It is well-situated for many activities both coastal, historic, and sporting.

The house is situated in a quiet residential area but close to shops and restaurants.

It provides a quiet haven for resting between your activities.
