Beautiful waterfront log home retreat. This home is perfect in every way; you will be delighted with the memories you will make during your stay. A romantic hideaway for a weekend getaway, a family vacation with the kids, or with a group of friends. A cozy, warm and down to earth place with the extras that make your getaway complete.

We recently completed our updating with a new king size bed in the master bedroom with new bedding and sheets, new queen size bed and new sheets and bedding in one guest bedroom, new LED flat screen TVs in the den and master bedroom, new sectional in the den, new towels in the bathrooms, new toaster oven and coffee maker in the kitchen, along with some new pots and pans and new silverware. We also have a new gas grill under the the covered portion of the deck. PLUS, we put new carpet in the bedrooms and new flooring in the master bath area!

We know all of these updates will make your stay very enjoyable.

>>>The kitchen is fully equipped for family meals or entertaining. Full eat-in kitchen, large den, fireplace, and separate sitting area. Kitchen has two full-size refrigerators, double ovens, smooth surface cook top stove, dishwasher, disposal, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender and cooking utensils. The den is huge with plenty of space for everyone. It has a sitting area by the windows overlooking the lake and another sitting area around the fireplace. Very large master bedroom has king size bed, his and her closets and a double-window over looking green space and lake. The Guest bedroom has a queen size bed, full-size closet, and a window. The Bunk room has two sets of solid wood bunk beds, full-size closet, and a window. Full bathroom with shower/tub combo is located in the hallway next to Guest bedroom and the Bunk room.

>>>Launch your boat for free at Cherokee Recreation Area or at Shiloh Park, Devils Fork Recreation Area, or Narrows Park. Very close to Shiloh Marina and Lacey’s Narrows Marina. You can pull up to the shore in front of the house for easy loading and unloading. The shore right in front of the house is a great spot to swim, float on a raft, paddle/fish around in a kayak or canoe, or sit under the famous (ok, not famous, but it is cool) mushroom shade tree by the water. You can fish in the lake in front of the cabin or ease back in to Budd Creek for some excellent fishing. Our cove is also a great place to teach kids how to water ski. The house is located in a secluded area just off the main bay of the lake.

Bring plenty of food so you can grill on the deck or go to one of the many good restaurants nearby.

Wonderful!

There is nothing to complain about here! (except we found not pizza cutter!) Awesome time with family. Campfire area was great for gathering in the evening. The indoor space was large enough for everyone. The table accommodated us easily at mealtime. No complaints.

Beautiful and restful location

Greers Ferry Lake is beautiful. The location of the cabin is quiet and restful. The owner Mark provided great information about the area. He was also very responsive to a maintenance request I made. The kitchen is well equipped. My only suggestion would be that at some point in the future he replace the bedroom rugs with tile or laminate. I would definitely stay again as I enjoyed the lake and the peacefulness.

The Hideaway Cabin on Greers Ferry Lake

Excellent five day getaway in this extremely well managed and maintained property. Extremely clean with all the conveniences of home. All the rooms are spacious and the living room and primary bedroom have a beautiful view of the lake. Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The living room fireplace is beautiful and was used every day of our stay. The lake has some of the cleanest clearest water I’ve ever seen anywhere and I’ve seen a whole lot of all the Ozark lakes further north and they can’t compare to the clarity of GF Lake. A very friendly and responsive camp host and extremely informative about the entire area, lake and all. Has a wonderful fire pit just outside the house although we didn’t have enough time to use it. Every single appliance worked perfectly, the dishware, glassware and silverware are nicer than what we have at home plus so many extras. We’ve stayed in other places but we’ve never stayed anywhere as clean and well stocked and maintained. Hope to make it back sometime.

needs a good cleaning but roomy cabin

The bedrooms smelled like a gym locker; rugs, bedding other than sheets had not been washed; ovens, neither frig and especially the gas grill need to be cleaned. The large frig leaks water, ice nor water is hooked up to it. The grill was not usable at all it was so nasty - even had food left on it. The cabin has lots of close housing on both sides but the time of year was perfect so we didn't have noise and only one very quiet family in cabin next door new year's even night. The cabin is lovely, kitchen is well stocked and easy access to the lake. Would stay again but ask host/owner to at least clean the grill if not everything else which was at least usable.

Our goal in renting this cabin is for our guests to make lifelong memories with their friends and family as well.

The Hideaway makes guests feel like they are "getting a break" from every day routine. It is close to two marinas, three swimming/picnic/boat ramp areas, two golf courses, and several restaurants. You can swim, boat, fish, kayak, canoe, or sit in the shade all at the flat shoreline below the cabin. When you combine The Hideaway with one of the cleanest and most scenic lakes in the United States, you get a vacation that is sure to provide your family with the fun and relaxation you are seeking.
