A peaceful and rejuvenating home in a plantation by the sea

The Finca Delicias are a small group of converted farm buildings located in a banana plantation near the beach and rock swimming pools of Alcala. The house was well presented, creatively furnished, and well equipped with generous amounts of space indoors and out. Incredible views of the ocean with the sun setting behind La Gomera each evening. The overall sense of tranquility and privacy was a welcome change from Costa Adeje.

Convenient and quiet location

Nice location if you want to explore the SW of Tenerife. Ca. 30 mins' drive from the airport, 2 blocks from TF47, but at night absolutely quiet. All contact with the owners was via phone or WhatsApp, reaction time was super fast & friendly.Things to know: To get to the Finca you drive along a bumpy, very narrow dirt track and the last bit is quite steep. On weekends, when locals park along the track, it feels like you only have a few cm of space on either side.This is a banana plantation (free fruit!). It looks gorgeous, and is fascinating to see the stages of banana growth. The garden is lovely. But it also means that there are a lot of flies (at least during my stay) and occasionally a smell of fertilizer. The flat is (I think) a converted stable. The only way to get to the bathroom is through the living-room. To get to the living-room you have to either pass through one of the bed-rooms or along the outside porch. The kitchen can only be reached via the porch, which faces the communal space, so you may be seen by other guests.The windows are single-pane only, and there is no A/C. Might be hot on some days. The beds are super comfy, there's a choice of pillows. The rear terrace is nice, total privacy! There is only 1 cupboard, but each bedroom has a sideboard.The main lights are very harsh.Musty smell when I first arrived. Sofa is quite hard.The bathroom floods if you have a long shower.The TV is not smart, but WiFi works well. Great choice for 1 - 2 people.

Schöne Anlage mit Blick über das Meer auf La Gomera.

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub. Das Haus war groß und gut eingerichtet. Alcala ist ein typischer spanischer Ort mit allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, mit Bars und Restaurants.

ruhig und gut gelegen, sehr nette hosts. Früchte von der Plantage zum sich bedienen. mit liebe eingetichtete fincas, immer wieder etwas renoviert Input: einmal die woche neue Frottee. Waschmaschine ist ziemliche verschmutz, macht deshalb nicht wirklich an dort etwas zu waschen. aber sonst war alles top. danke

Wunderbar entspannter Aufenthalt

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage ist traumhaft inmitten von Bananenpflanzungen und mit Blick auf's Meer, und es ist so wunderbar ruhig, dass man nur Meeresrauschen und Vogelgesang hört. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt und uns besonders darüber gefreut, dass uns die auf der Finca angebauten Früchte immer gratis zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Die Gastgeber waren supernett und sehr zuvorkommend - z.B. durften wir am Abreisetag länger auf der Finca bleiben, da unser Rückflug erst spät ging.

Vacaciones maravillosas

Unser Aufenthalt auf der Finca war wunderbar und es fiel uns sehr schwer, nach zwei Wochen den Heimweg anzutreten. Das Haus „La canaria“ ist sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Blick über die Bananenplantage hinüber nach La Gomera ist grandios, vor allen Dingen bei Sonnenuntergang. Bis zum Meer sind es knappe 5 Min. ,nach Alcala zum Supermarkt ca. 20 Min. zu Fuß und wenn man will, immer mit einem Spaziergang am Meer verbunden. Es ist nicht zwingend notwendig, ein Auto zu mieten, da die Bushaltestellen ca. 10 Min. entfernt sind. Ofelia, muchas gracias por su hospitalidad y amabilidad . Muchas gracias también a Flora, la buena alma de la finca, ella es muy servicial , amable y siempre nos traía frutas y verdura. Nos encontraremos de nuevo.

Amazing finca in banana farm close to the sea

Finca Delicias is a brilliant place to get away. The old farm buildings have been sensitively restored to create a peaceful escape away from the bustle of the resorts yet only 5 minutes walk to the coast near Alcala. The accommodation is simple but generous in terms of outside space with seating and sun loungers outside as well as it’s own mini solarium. On the coast There are 3 sea water pools with one to suit every tide along with 3 small black sand beaches. The beaches are quiet and well kept with lifeguards and a small cafe. It is about 10-15 minutes walk in to Alcala along the coastal path where there are restaurants and bars although we hardly had need to go out. A car is helpful to get to the supermarket and to other places along the coast or inland to Masca or Mount Teide. Fantastic holiday and hope to be back!

Lovely days at Finca Delicias

Very warm welcome from Natalie and Javier - they made sure we had Everything for a comfortable stay. Concha(?) also was helpful and and cleans the Casa After a Weeks stay, a good idea. The location is Great 300mt. to the Ocean, Sunsets over La Gomera and very peaceful, if that‘s what you want. Otherwise walk the coast and Visit Alcalá or San Juan . There are many Trips you can take if you have a car and Are interested in discovering the Island. All in all we had a very good Time. Thanks again to everyone.We will hopefully See you again. P.S. One Little critic - it would make Things a lot easier if you had Hot running water in the kitchen. Warm Wisches, Michele & Lothar

La finca tiene una ubicacíon fantástica

Tuvimos vacaciones muy relajadas y tranquilas.La finca se encuentra encima de la platación con una fantástica vista del oceano y La Gomera. Ofelia y su familia se ocupan mucho de sus huéspedes y el personal es muy agradable. El equipo de la finca está bien, nos sentimos muy cómodos allí.
