Stunning villa, perfect location

The house is very well equipped, clean and located close restaurants and bars. Communication with the property manager was smooth and he was very responsive.

Review for 1655 N Crescent Heights...mixed bag

So the property management company for this house (Colgate} alerted us after we landed in LA that the current guests couldn't vacate because of illness and that we were being upgraded to a bigger place in Laurel Canyon. This is mostly a critical review of the property management company and it's poor communications. We arrived at the new house, at 1655 N. Crescent Heights and were toured around the property. Beautiful. However, the home's tech was confusing and outdated, and I would say we were not too subtly encouraged to not use the pool or pool heater. Long story short is that this home at 1655 N Crescent Heights isn't really set up for rentals it felt to us. Owner quickly tried to address some issues but we shouldn't have had to ask for most. Kitchen was beautiful but no salt and pepper, no dishwasher detergent, scratched and dirty pans. Hot water for showers was a problem throughout our stay. On our last morning there was NO hot water. And other weird things...there was an unfired bullet in the laundry area, a water pipe in a hallway closet, an old bottle of Malibu rum and an old bottle of coke in a cabinet. Lots of detritus from previous renters is just left around or shoved in closets. Is the space large and beautiful? Yes. Are the views of LA spectacular? Yes. Should you moderate your expectations? Yes.

Terrific house. Beautiful private intimate back yard.

Kitchen could use more basic supplies. i.e., kitchen towels. Full set of flatware, cookie sheets, serving bowls, serving utensils. Mirror in guest bathroom Has missing sink. Great management people.

Beautiful home, great location, but some opportunities ...

This is a beautiful contemporary home in a very central location for LA. The architecture is stunning and the back pool area and outdoor seating make it ideal for a family gathering. We give the home high marks, but there are some areas where the home falls short: The built in stereo / sound system does not work and is technically very complicated. Simplify with Sonos so anyone can use it The Television should have full a full cable offering. Very limited channel selection. TV Technology again is overcomplicated - simplify. The cutlery and flatware are very cheap and not enough for our group of 8. Upgrade it The hot water faucet in the first floor bathroom(bedroom) has very limited flow. No shampoo, conditioner, or soap - at this price this is a basic expectation. Pool was 98 degees and the hand held remote did not work. Pool furniture cushions need to be update/ upgraded. Thank you

Great house in good walking neighborhood for LA

Would have given it 5 stars if it had been more clean (some kind of fur/hair and black dust on floors) and if bathrooms had been stocked with shampoo/soap/other essentials. Beds were comfy and the kitchen is well stocked and there are numerous tasty options for food and coffee a short walk away. Pool hot tub heats up nicely but not sure heater has enough juice to really bring pool itself to an acceptable temp in the winter/spring. A skimmer on property would have been appreciated as well as the wind was intense during our visit and there was much debris blown into water.
