Longstay at Skiddaw Heights
Property is in a beautiful location, with fabulous views and well presented due to a recent renovation. However, clearly the owner hasnt tried to live/ stay there with a capacity group (we averaged 5-6 people over our stay). The current fridge is too small and need to be replaced with a full sized fridge (in the laundry area?) Simple additions like salt & pepper shakers/ grinders, a veg peeler (we left one that we bought in situ), handwash among other things would have smoothed things in the first couple of days. Also, clearly communicating the cleaning schedule for a >1 week stay would have helped.

Good base for a great holiday
Comfortable and welcoming, making the most of views over Keswick and Bassenthwaite. Would suit a large family, two families sharing, four couples and most other configurations. Children will like the house and especially the garden. The property was spacious and furnished to a high standard, but let down by the motley collection of sometimes failing kitchen appliances and cookware.
