Casa Quintilio, where elegance and rustic blend harmoniously

Recently refurbished country villa where rustic and luxurious styles blend perfectly. It consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles and one with 2 single beds, 4 bathrooms, equipped kitchen and living area. Outside it offers a nice garden and a swimming pool with a particular design whose waters, slightly heated, are constantly 2/3 degrees above the temperature of the traditional pools. The medieval village of Castiglione, one of the most beautiful in Italy, is a 10-minute walk away.
This spacious villa has four bedrooms furnished with taste and quality. From the living room, which is also cared for down to the last detail, you have access to a balcony ideal for relaxing moments. The kitchen is fully equipped and eight people can sit comfortably in the dining area. The four bathrooms (two of which are en-suite) all have a shower and one has a bathtub with a shower.
Outside guests will have a lovely sunny garden that surrounds the entire house and is furnished with table, chairs and deck chairs, they can also relax in the swimming pool with a particular design and lightly heated water.

LA GARFAGNANA:
La Garfagnana is located in the "green heart" of Tuscany, between the two mountain ranges of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines and the Apuan Alps. In this valley full of history and traditions it is possible to spend relaxing stays, far from the chaos of the city and everyday life, but, if you prefer, it will also be possible to live unforgettable experiences full of adventure and fun healthy, discovering unique and uncontaminated places and trying sports and activities such as trekking, rafting, mountain biking, etc., in a perfect fusion between man and nature.
The capital of the Garfagnana is Castelnuovo and is about 5 km from the Rustico "Le Altane". The nearest village is Pieve Fosciana (2.5 km), here you will find restaurants, a supermarket and shops. All the most beautiful medieval villages of this valley (Sillico, Castiglione etc.) are easily reachable within a few minutes by car. The most beautiful art cities of Tuscany such as Lucca, Pisa and Florence can be reached both by car and by train from Castelnuovo (5 km).

Idyllic Spot

We absolutely loved our stay in Elisabetta's beautifully restored farmhouse. There was everything we needed there , even for committed cooks. The house is very authentic and copes with the local weather perfectly even without aircon. The views were magnificent, the beds comfortable and Elisabetta could not have been more welcoming and helpful.The village of Castiglione is a short walk and offers a restaurant, a pizzeria a great bar and a couple of shops. A very charming spot.The surrounding areas are worth exploring and there is plenty of walking too.All in all a perfect holiday.Thank you Elisabetta xx

Das Haus hält alkes, was in der Beschreibung versprochen wird.Ein Ort der Superlative mit Liebe zum Detail. Alles war zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Einfach entspannen :-)

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in der Toskana – die Unterkunft war perfekt, genauso wie beschrieben, super sauber und ideal gelegen. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr, sehr schön und überaus stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort genossen. Elisabetha ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, ihre Gastfreundschaft ist hervorragend. Sie entschuldigte sich sogar für des regnerische Wetter, doch dafür kann sie ja nichts.

Das war großartig!!!!!

Eines vorweg. Elisabetta ist eine großartige und sehr liebenswerte Gastgeberin. Das durften wir schon am Tag unserer Anreise erfahren. Nach 20 Stunden Fahrt (für knapp 900 km) war Elisabetta nachts um 1.00 Uhr am Haus, um uns zu empfangen und uns in einem kurzen Rundgang das Haus zu zeigen. Das ist keineswegs selbstverständlich. Am kommenden Morgen hat sie uns dann alles ausführlich gezeigt. Überhaupt hat sie wirklich alles nur Erdenkliche getan, um unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Und das ist ihr auch absolut gelungen. Das Casa Quintilio ist eine ebenso liebevoll wie stilecht hergerichtete und eingerichtete Landvilla. Sie ist komplett ausgestattet. Es fehlt wirklich an nichts. Nicht nur wir, sondern auch unsere beiden Labrador-Damen, haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Nicht nur im Haus sondern auch im wunderbaren, großen und eingezäunten Garten mit einem tollen Pool. Klar konnten wir den im April noch nicht nutzen. Aber er hat zu einem wunderbaren Ambiente beigetragen. Die atemberaubende Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge hat daran ebenfalls einen erheblichen Anteil. Die Schönheit der Umgebung ist überwältigend und in alle Himmelsrichtungen gibt es sehenswerte Orte, die es lohnt zu besuchen. Es waren zwei herrliche und erholsame Wochen. Vielen, vielen Dank Elisabetta.

A perfect place in amazing Garfagnana

Casa Quintilio is really a paradise! The view from the house is truly spectacular - to one side you see the medieval walls of Castiglione above and to the other a panorama of the the Apuan Alps. Coming out to the pool for a morning swim I had to pinch my arm every day to believe that this is not a dream. The pool itself was also a blessing during this hot week in mid-June. Also the house is everything you could desire - elegant and comfortable, but still has its rural charm preserved. There was ample space for all seven of us with four good size bedrooms each with its own bath. Thank you so much, Elisabetta! We would love to be able to return to this little piece of heaven some day again!

Tuscan dream

What a fantastic place, I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful property in a beautiful place , it really has everything you could ever want , we have never stayed in a place that felt so like home as soon as you walk through the door. If you want to explore you couldn’t ask for more , we went to Pisa and Florence, both beautiful, but you needn’t leave the villa really , pool fantastic views fantastic and Elisabetta the host couldn’t be more helpful……. A real gem , we’ll definitely be back , stunning.

A very pleasant quiet villa

The villa is well appointed, clean, and comfortable in a quiet location a stones throw from Castiglioni which has a few shops and bars. We came for the walking, which is very good in the national parks and hills nearby. The marble quarries over at Carrera were a must see. It was a bit cold the week we were there so we didn't use the pool.

Entspannter Urlaub in wunderschönem toskanischem Haus

Wir haben 9 wunderschöne Tage in diesem tollen toskanischen Haus verbracht. Wir können es nur jedem empfehlen, da es nicht nur schön, sondern auch mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet ist. Der Blick vom Balkon und vom Pool in das Tal ist absolut genial. Besonders den Pool haben wir ausgiebig genossen, da es zum Meer doch etwas weiter ist. Ein Wanderweg führt vom Dorf aus durch den Wald etwas höher in die Berge. Auch das ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Dörfchen selbst liegt ganz malerisch und auch die umliegenden Dörfer, wie z. B. Barga, sind einen Besuch wert. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, vielen Dank Elisabetta!

Wunderbare Ferien

Traumhafte Lage, der Blick ins Tal und auf die Berge ist umwerfend, der Pool groß und Elisabetta ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin und stets zur Stelle, wenn es ein Problemchen gibt. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

Traumhafter 360*- Panoramablick mit Infinity- Pool

Das rustikale Haus überrascht mit der frischen und herrlich liebevollenkünstlerischen Einrichtung. Alt und neu wird sehr angenehm und sinnvoll miteinander kombiniert. Die selbst gemalten Bilder an den Wänden sind einladend, ebenso die Bildbände des kleinen Bücherschrankes. Die Küche ist hochwertig und sehr gut ausgestattet (es gab sogar scharfe Messer samt Schleifstab!!), die Betten bequem und vor allem schön breit. Das Bad im Untergeschoss ist ein wahres Kunstwerk aus Kacheln und Marmor! Garten und Pool sind ebenso gepflegt und individuell gestaltet, man hat hier eine wunderbare Panoramaaussicht auf Berge, Tal und Dorf. Die Balkone laden zum stundenlangen Verweilen auf Stühlen und Hängematte ein, an einem gibt es einen echten Steinbackofen für Holzofenpizza. Holz dafür wurde uns kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Elisabetta ist eine angenehme, unkomplizierte und herzliche Vermieterin, bei Fragen reagierte sie prompt und zuverlässig. Direkt ab dem Haus gibt es abwechslungsreiche Wanderwege, das hübsche Dorf Castiglione di Garfagnana mit der nötigen und sympathischen Versorgungsinfrastruktur ist zu Fuß in 10min erreichbar. Lucca und das Meer sind jeweils 1 Autostunde entfernt. Wir haben hier eine sehr schöne und erholsame Woche verbracht.

Es war ein sehr entspannter Urlaub !Es hat alles gepasst.In der Stadt war es fast zu ruhig.

Für uns war in dem Haus alle ok.Es hat alles gepasst nur der Pool war am ende der Woche nicht mehr so sauber.Die Vermieter waren sehr bemüht.

dopo aver conosciuto la proprietaria Elisabetta, persona gentile con fare famigliare e amichevole (non è scontato), scopriamo la casa meravigliosa e in un gran bel posto. Casa che nasce nel "1500 e via via diventerà quella meraviglia di pace e comodità nel tempo. Di notte il silenzio aiuta a dormire benissimo, con letti e materassi comodi. La mattina fare colazione e come stare al "mulino bianco". La piscina in estate è senza dubbio un vantaggio in una location da sogno.

perfect hidaway in the northern tuscany

wir haben zu zweit für 6 wochen im mai/juni gebucht und hatten ein motorrad und mountainbikes dabei. der standort ist perfekt für tagestouren oder einen tag am pool. das haus ist mit liebe zweckmässig eingerichtet, die lage ist sehr privat. für uns war es wichtig, dass eine schnelle internetverbindung vorhanden ist. der vermieter hat vor unserer anreise erfolgreich einen speed upgrade organisiert. elisabetta und roberto sind die perfekten hosts.
