Welcome to your 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment with balcony in the Marigny Triangle! The coolest neighborhood in New Orleans!

History: The building was originally built around 1880 by A. Duhart. An accomplished blacksmith, lightening rod and sword maker. In the true classic Marigny/ French Quarter Style. Spacious, beautiful, and freshly renovated.

Location: Sandwiched between the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street and St. Claude Ave. 24 hour a day fun and some of the best food in the world is in any direction walking out the front door! You can see Frenchmen Street from the apartment's front door. Just a few easy blocks to the French Quarter and 2 blocks to St. Claude St.

Great Jazzfest accommodations!

We had a party of six that gathered for Jazzfest 2017, and we all enjoyed our stay at this bright and cheery apartment in the Marigny. It was clean and comfortable and has a great location, making it easy for the group to get around town. We caught the bus to Jazzfest at the fairgrounds, and the apartment is a short stroll to the French Quarter and to lots of interesting spots in the Bywater, such as Elizabeth's, St. Roch's market, and Bacchanal wine bar. We never waited more than 5-10 minutes for a Lyft to get us to Magazine St. and the CBD for dinner gatherings. The neighborhood has a popular bar nearby that generated noise at night (it was Jazzfest week), but the owner mentioned when we were leaving that the bar isn't typically loud, and he also offered to talk to the bar owner about noise levels. Overall, we had a great stay in NOLA at this apartment and appreciated the coffee and wine left for us by the owner. Thanks Michael!

Excellent property in an excellent location

We try to visit New Orleans ever 18-25 months and always stay in a vrbo. We will definitely revisit this property - The owner, Michael, is very responsive, helpful, and accommodating, the house itself is very pleasant, clean, and filled with amenities, and the location is perfect. Of course, we love walking around in the Quarter, but we don't like staying there due to the noise. The Marigny area is a perfect area just a five minute walk away. We can highly recommend this property!

Fabulous apartment in a great, central location.

We’re regular visitors to New Orleans and needed a larger (3 bedroom) place to stay for a family get together. We visit for the music, so Michael’s property is in the perfect location, just 2 short blocks away from the amazing music on Frenchman Street, a 4 minute stumble home! The apartment was impeccably clean, well laid out, and had everything we needed. Walgreens and Robert (grocery store) ate two blocks away at the St Claude/Elysian Fields streetcar stop. If you’re looking for the touristy main section of the French Quarter... it’s a 10-15 minute walk or a quick and easy Uber/Lyft ride... or there’s public “blue bikes” around the corner. The only caution to be aware of is there is a bit of noise from patrons of a local bar, “The John”, on an adjacent corner whose customers hang outside on the street. If you go to bed at 10:00 this might be annoying... but it was never a problem for us. Michael has provided “white noise” machines and earplugs for those that need them... we didn’t! The property is exactly as listed and the photos are accurate. Thanks for an fabulous stay, Michael... we’ll see you around town!

Perfect location, clean and comfortable

The house was clean and very well stocked. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were on hand. The location was perfect as we love wandering around Frenchmen Street, and down to the French Market, which is near one end of the Riverfront Streetcar route. Also have to mention that the property is only blocks away from our favorite breakfast restaurant, the Ruby Slipper. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Place

We came down to new orleans for a long weekend and it happened to be during Tropical Storm Barry. Michael was very easy to communicate with and made the whole process smooth and easy. Quick 5 minute walk into the French Quarter and a gorgeous renovated three-bedroom place which is fully stocked for a short or long stay with a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. We would come back and stay at Michael’s without a doubt. Thanks!

Beautiful VRBO near Frenchmen st

The unit is gorgeous. One of the nicest VRBO properties I’ve stayed in. The Barigny Neighborhood is eccentric but safe (relative to the rest of New Orleans - you should always travel in groups and be smart about it of course when in NOLA). A handful of great breakfast spots nearby and about a 2 block walk to Frenchmen St. Not a bad spot for walking to the French Quarter either provided you ditch the heels in favor of running shoes. Inside the unit is wonderful and spacious. We used an air bed in our group and still had plenty of space to stretch out. The property is everything it’s advertised. For those looking to experience a different more local feel to New Orleans this is an ideal spot.

Perfect location, lots of light and space, and clean and tidy!

We were so impressed with our stay at this house. I’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, and this was easily in my top 5 of all time. Location was perfect. House was bigger than it looks and adorably appointed. There were lots of supplies in the cabinets for us to use, and we appreciated the little welcome touches. We had plenty of space for 6 women, and everyone had a blast. Will definitely book here again.

Beautiful home great location!

The home was beautiful. Very clean and comfortable. Came with family and friends and truly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We drove and parked in front of the home and didn’t have to move our vehicle the whole weekend as we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Very Clean, Well Equipped, and Comfortable.

My family just returned from 5 days and 4 nights in New Orleans. We found this apartment very clean, well equipped, and comfortable. It felt very new. You will find that most of the reviews say this same thing. Having just been there, I can tell you that you can rely and trust the reviews. We also enjoyed the neighborhood. It is an interesting and eclectic area maybe five minutes by car from the French Quarter. There are quaint restaurants and shops and you are a mere two minute walk from Frenchmen Street (which we preferred over Bourbon Street). We had a car because we planned a couple of excursions outside of the city. The apartment has street parking, but we never had an issue finding a spot. Also, the owner, Michael, is very good to work with. I had a couple of questions while planning our trip. I emailed Michael and he responded almost immediately. Likewise, we had a chance to meet him one morning and he told us some of the very amusing history of this interesting neighborhood -- which we enjoyed! I highly recommend this property.

Beautifully renovated apartment steps from the French Street action....

Safe, clean and an oasis from the grit and grind of French Street and the Quarter. Beautifully appointed and supplied with an emphasis on comfort and enjoyment. Steps from the food, music and mayhem that is the "Big Easy". One note of caution, unrelated to this property, is VRBO's (Home Away) totally inept business sense. They put out uber extra effort to sabotage this vacation at every turn regarding accomodations and the 5 calls and literal hours spent on hold with customer service only incited additional ineptness. This unit, as well as most, are available on different sites, other than VRBO, and I would highly recommend using any other. Again, thanks to Mike and this unit we were able to salvage this trip. Thanks!!

Marigny Magic

This elegant property is situated in a quiet residential district that drips with NOLA character. Walking distance to the French Quarter and a stone’s throw from Frenchmen St — we hung out at Snug Harbor one evening to see Delfayeo M: fantastic! Rooms are comfortable and spacious; overall highly recommended. Oh, and the owners are super responsive and highly informative.

Great Home Base In NOLA

Our stay at the this NOLA apartment could not have been better, we were 3 adult couples and there was plenty of room. Michael was super easy to work with, the place was clean & comfy, close to great music venues and restaurants! Hit the Ruby Slipper for breakfast, Who Dat Cafe was a great coffee Y mimosa spot. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely perfect

I can't say enough about our stay at Michael's place! We were 3 couples and the space was perfect for us. Plenty of room and privacy but great space for us all to be together as well. The apartment is VERY well stocked, especially with bathroom amenities. It's just a few minutes from Frenchmen Street and an easy walk to the French Quarter but still nice and quiet at night (earplugs are provided just in case) Don't hesitate to book this place if it's available!

Perfect in every way !

The apartment is perfect in every way. Great balcony and courtyard too. Very well stocked and all the comforts of home. Very roomy, there were six of us and had plenty of room for all of us. Close to the French Quarter and French Market. Close to the WWII Museum. Great places to eat nearby too. Would recommend this to all !

Perfect!

This lovely apartment was perfect for us. Great size, amazing restoration with beautiful original doors, windows and shutters but with updated modern kitchen & bathrooms. Great location, easy walk to many great bars & restaurants. The owner Michael is fantastic, he met us and gave us a little tour and some tips on where to go. A few other perks were the well stocked bathrooms (if you forget anything) and the kitchen stocked with coffee, creamers & sugar. That made our morning. Loved the balcony too. We can't wait to come back!

Great location with tons of space

Location was awesome and condo was pristine. The condo is very spacious and comes equipped with all the necessities. The hosts Michael and Kristin provide answers to any question you can think of in their neighborhood/city guide and were super responsive anytime I messaged them. Condo is a quick walk (3 blocks) to all the music and bars on Frenchman Street and some great restaurants for coffee and breakfast. For everything else, Uber/Lyft was never more than a 3 min wait. We never made it to the trolley but the stop was only a block away. The neighborhood bar is open late (not unique) so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Overall, our stay was excellent and we'd definitely stay here again!

I grew up in New Orleans and my favorite place in the world is Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. The historic neighborhood of the Vieux Carré and Faubourg Marigny is unlike any place in the United States or the world! I can't think of anywhere that blends culture, history, food, and nightlife seamlessly. Walking around our neighborhood feels like stepping back in time, with beautiful and unique architecture, incredible music and food at every turn. No matter if you are a history buff, a foodie, or just looking for a good time we have it all.

What makes this property unique

The building is a part of our neighborhood's fabric and continuous living history. It was originally built around 1880 by A. Duhart. An accomplished blacksmith, lightening rod and sword maker. His family lived on the top floor and his workshop was at street level. The building stands in the truest meaning of an architectural-classic and the definition New Orleans Style.
