About this property
Wander through the French Quarter from a Treme Shotgun Home
Sit on the painted front porch of an Italianate shotgun house in the birthplace of Jazz. It has been renovated for modern conveniences but plenty of Victorian charm remains in the original fireplaces, wood trim, and claw-foot tubs.
The home exudes old-world charm—French doors, fireplaces, high ceilings, veranda, and shaded patio.
Treme is a historic neighborhood, and the birthplace of Jazz. The comfortable, secure location is close to all the action, yet removed enough for rest and relaxation. Nearby are Le Petit Jazz Museum, Lil Dizzy s Cafe, and the Rampart Streetcar.

Location is ideal! Walkable to Jazz Fest, restaurants and bike ball to the French market, Jackson Square and many other areas. Host is very accessible and accommodating. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Close enough to French Quarter but far quieter. Great local coffee shops. Very comfortable, historic look and feel. Having laundry available was very handy for a week's stay.
This charming quintessential shotgun house is located conveniently near the French Quarter making it easy to access. The Treme neighborhood has many Live oaks lining the streets making it pleasant as well!
This Shotgun had so many cool features. We loved the location; it was a bit of a walk to downtown, but so quiet and totally safe and doable. The beds were super compfy and the overall stay was great. The only reason I did not give five stars was because the burners on the over didn't work (we had caught lots of fish and hoped to fry them!) and we did laundry after fishing and had to take a huge load of linens out of the dryer to use it. Otherwise, it was wonderful!

Hi Dede, thanks for the comments. Apologies for the burner not working. One of the burners does actually work and I wish you had brought it to my attention as I’m right next-door. I’ve since had all the burners replaced. We value your comments and I’m happy that you had a great time.
We really enjoyed staying here. We especially loved beautiful architecture and spaciousness of the home! Loved having two bathrooms and two separate bedrooms! Loved the high ceilings and beautiful molding and we felt safe in the neighborhood walking around.

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We were two couples and the couple in the back bedroom couldn't walk to the kitchen without walking through the front bedroom. Great front porch on which to sit!

Great to hear you enjoyed the stay. Yes, it's a 'creole shotgun home'. Most homes in the French Quarter and Treme are shotguns, meaning no hallways. Very common architectural style from the 1800's. The home itself was built in 1880.
What a beautiful home owned by an awesome rock star host who was so kind and welcoming! This location was perfect for walking to restaurants, music venues, and the pre-game Mardi Gras night-life (we left before Mardi Gras proper, but still ate amazing food and saw incredible bands, and big parades, etc.) We can't wait to come back!
We had such a fabulous stay! Excellent communication with our host. This was our first time staying in a historic shotgun in Treme New Orleans and we absolutely loved it! It was an easy walk to the French market and French Quarter area. The home was stocked with everything we needed, and more, for a comfortable stay. The cute backyard was fenced in and perfect for our dog.The home was nicely, decorated and easy to keep clean and take care of during our stay. There was always a parking spot available for us out front in the street.
We had a great stay! The host was exceptional-communicative and thoughtful throughout our visit. The location was spot-on and made getting around so easy. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
The host was extremely welcoming and helpful! The house was perfect, very clean and comfortable. The location is wonderful! We were able to walk to most locations that we wanted to see from the house. We would stay here again if we visit New Orleans!
The house was a historic charmer with great personality. Great location in proximity to the French Quarter. Really nice neighbors. Very comfortable, well furnished.
The home was very cute, quaint and fully equipped with all the basic needs. Our hosts were very communicative and easy to reach out for any questions. The descriptions of the local cafes, bars and POI were absolutely spot on. It made our stay very very comfortable.
The property was clean and well kept; the property manager was extremely communicative and provided us a lot of really good suggestions for our overnight stay!

Fantastic stay! Beautiful apartment with a lot of character and charm in a perfect location: on the edge of the French Quarter and walking distance from all the main activities in New Orleans. The host was very helpful and responsive and the apartment had all the amenities needed. Very highly recommended!
The place is Sooo clean and neat!! Plenty of towels and bath needs. PLUS claw foot tubs. Great for a great a long soak after a long day. They provide plenty of hangers for you. worth getting again. They allowed me to drop off my bags prior check in which was a big help. I loved the neighborhood and the people. I felt totally safe.
