About this property

Cosy, peaceful cottage in Manorbier, Pembrokeshire for 5/6, a mile from beach

Lime Cottage is a tastefully restored, lime-washed 17th Century Cottage. It is full of character, charm and original features.

It is situated above the village of Manorbier and halfway between Tenby and Pembroke, a five mile drive in each direction.
A pretty, mile-long walk or a 5 minute drive get you to Manorbier beach, castle and coast path. It is set 300m back from the road, in a peaceful location, surrounded by fields but is also close to amenities. Manorbier station is a 10 minute walk away. Buses to Tenby and Pembroke are a 5 minute walk away.

The cottage was originally built in the early 17th century. It was renovated and an extension was added over 10 years ago using traditional lime mortar in the walls.

There are night storage heaters in all the rooms.

Lime Cottage sleeps 5 to 6 people and has three bedrooms: a bedroom with a super-kingsize bed, a double room and a room that has a single bed with a put-u-up bed (available on request). All bedrooms are south-facing with low level windows and veluxes. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, sink, toilet and heated towel rail. There is a shower and toilet downstairs along with a washing machine and Belfast sink for hand washing. The downstairs living area is open plan comprising a hand-built kitchen with an Aga, a freestanding electric cooker, a Welsh dresser and a dish washer. The comfortable seating area has a television, DVD player and radio.

There is a small south facing patio. The safe, sheltered, private garden, with patio furniture, gets the late afternoon sun in the summer and is the perfect place to relax after a day spent on one of Pembrokeshire's many fine beaches.

In 2017 my husband and I bought two adjoining properties in a tucked-away spot on the edge of Manorbier, Pembrokeshire. Lime Cottage had been successfully let as a holiday home for over 10 years and we were pleased to be able to continue to welcome holiday makers. I love the outdoors, the sea, walking, big views, the variety of British weather, Ordnance Survey maps, being creative, theatre, comedy and dogs.
