Ed & Chris - thank you so much for leaving our cabin in such tidy shape! We would welcome you back any 'ole time. :)
Good tip to future guests about always checking with owners or accommodations' direct website for more information before bringing trailers of any kind to whichever place they rent from VRBO. We had a group of 31 ATVers with 26 trailers visit a couple weeks ago - thank goodness they spoke to us beforehand so we could prepare. It was a like a great big game of Jenga, but we all were satisfied once settled. At our resort as you know, we have a hard packed driveway that loops around the cabins with a couple of tighter turns - 25' can make 'em but we steer the longer ones only to the Upper and Lower Campsites, then back out the way they came. About 40% of our summer guests brings boats on trailers and we don't have issues, but then the bulk of our guests are repeats and they size their boats for our small lake. Those of you reading this who pull behind trailers or equipment - always ask about manueverability before booking, never assume. A great tip for us all!

We built this cabin in 2003 with help from my folks (whose taste ran a little more fancy than my budget wished, but . . . ) :) There is a bio page about da big guy and me on our website crowwingDOTcom.
(2025 will be our 25th year in resorting up north. Prior to that, we managed 111 apartments in Newton, Iowa.)
I have taught Green Cleaning classes for the Community of Minnesota Resorts (CMR) during last 20 years. We use unscented non-toxic laundry soap on bed linens, provide chemical-free dish soap and bathroom foaming hand soap in cabins. Staff and guests appreciate our use of organic/all natural cleaning products (Thieves, Force of Nature, Dr. Bronner's, Ecos, 7th Generation, etc.) We do lots of recycling and various other 'green' practices on the resort.
When Covid broke out in 2020, I was asked co-host a CMR class on cleaning practices. I spent hours and hours researching to share information found on CDC and EPA websites on approved non-toxic disinfectants which will work to mitigate Covid-19 (there are six recommended.) The resort has implemented numerous steps to deal with the current coronavirus environment. https://www.crowwing.com/covid-19-response-staysafe-initiative
Why they chose this property
Spring fed headwaters of chain of Crow Wing Lakes, hence water is 14' - 17' average clarity.
What makes this property unique
Free access to 200' long sandy beach and lots of water toys (paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, Stand Up Paddleboards, fun bugs, etc.) a hop, skip and jump away (about 300 feet from cabin).
Because we are also a family vacation resort, we have to meet health and safety codes on a continual basis. In other words, some homes rented by owners do not need to get their drinking water tested annually for toxins like we do, or get annual fire marshall and health department inspections like we do.
Also, our (your!) access to the lake shore (1100' linear feet) is larger than typical lake homes including a large beautiful, sandy beach with a plethora of play boats to borrow, maintained hiking trails, historic lodge with snack bar, arcade room, library and much more (rental motor boats, on-site spa stuff, etc.)
