Le "1898", alpine chalet in the heart of nature, ecology and comfort

The "1898" is a beautiful and very comfortable independent alpine chalet in a small hamlet surrounded by nature and located 400m from the center of Valmeinier 1800 resort. It has been completely renovated in 2017 with care. The cottage is rated * * * * for 9 people by the Ministry of Tourism. Very sunny, in the summer it is at the start of the treks of the Neuvache Valley classified Natura 2000 and the tour of Mount Thabor. In winter, it enjoys direct access, ski-in ski-out, on the slopes of the Galibier-Thabor ski area (160 km of slopes, between 1430 and 2750m above sea level) and snowshoe trails. In winter, it can be accessed on skis or on foot via the ski slope and a snow-covered path (400m, 8 minutes downhill).
The chalet combines traditional architecture and aesthetic quality with the principles of the circular economy and the latest techniques of insulation. The stones of the ruin were recovered and admirably rested one by one and by hand. All the craftsmen who have been renovated are from the valley, possessing a precise and unique knowledge.
Spacious and comfortable, this chalet accommodates up to ten people. Skier or not, in winter as in summer, its mountaineer offers many opportunities to relax.
Its area is 112 square meters. Level 1 consists of a living room open on a paved courtyard and including a kitchen, a bedroom for four, a bathroom (with toilet, bath and shower). Level 2 consists of an entrance area, a living room (with wood stove), an open kitchen. The mezzanine includes a large video monitor and a library. Level 3 with two bedrooms. The bedding is 200cm in length and particularly comfortable.
