Scam property didnt exist
Booked & received no arrival instructions. Numerous attempts to contact owner but nothing. Drove 4 hours there and still nothing at checkin time. Spoke to VRBO who couldnt contact owner or find us a replacement. Advised us to find something ourselves which we did. However after they told us this they send an email saying cant book through a rival & only entitled to a refund for ONE night of the THREE we had paid for. No way. Couple of strong emails later and we got a full refund. Poor from start to finish. Property still advertised on their site so perfect for other customers to be scammed. Shocking

Wanted to visit Skegness
This property was a nice place in an rural village close to Skegness, the layout of this property was nice and open planned in a very picturesque setting, however some things let this place down, for example the windows in the lounge were faulty so you couldn’t really have them open, the other windows next to utility room were bolted shut so got hot very quickly downstairs, couldn’t open doors as dogs would have escaped, cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch, had to evict a few spiders and clean floors as were dirty, base of double bed had stain on the bottom, some furniture and decor a little tired and in need of attention, brilliant w/m and tumble dryer, had to keep bedroom windows shut at night due to dog (in pub garden area/opposite property) barking most of the time but we overall enjoyed our stay

Disappointing
This is not really suitable if you have a small dog. The weather was extremely hot and it was impossible to have the doors open as the dogs would have escaped straight onto the road. It does have a garden area but it cannot be reached from the property without walking along the road. Also, small dogs can easily escape through the gaps. The property has definitely seen better days. Oh and if you’re looking for the living room and stairway light switch, you have to go half way up the stairs and it’s in the living room ceiling.

The property, looks like it's pictures, it has a pub next door
We booked for a quiet weekend away, & the property is quite nice, as in the pictures. Kitchen & dining sitting area downstairs, with utility & downstairs toilet. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, the double room has a full bathroom suite with a shower over the bath. The twin room, has shower, basin & toilet ensuite. Bedding & towels are provided, even toilet roll. We dealt with Paddy & Tina & they had put milk in the fridge & coffee, tea & sugar on the worktop. Thank you. There is parking at the rear of the building, & a small grassed garden, but we didn't use it. The Anchor Inn is across the courtyard & the new landlord Eddie & his wife Lisa, are modernising the pub, while it is still open, they are friendly & so are the locals, the food is good as well. We did not have much noise from the pub, Saturday night was a bit noisy. I have a bad back & did feel the springs in the mattress, I slept on the top of the quilt & we came home a day early. It would have been better if their had been better mattresses or memory foam toppers. Village shop is within 200 yards, very well stocked. 11th century church is next door to the pub, & worth taking a walk around. Lincolnshire wildlife park, is approximately 1.5 mile away in the village.
