Perfect COVID getaway home for the discreet traveler or reunion for families that have been separated for the last year and want to spend special time together in a safe environment in a very low keyed neighborhood with all kinds of safe activities in the area.
Golfing, Dive/Snorkel tours, Fishing, Luau's , Pacific's biggest water park all very close, as well as Kapolei the "new city" of Oahu with all the amenities of Honolulu.
Start and end your day gazing out over the beautiful Pacific watch the Turtles ride the swells, dolphins dancing in and out of the waves and in season majestic whales creating their magic. Enjoy the incredible sunsets over the sea followed by the star filled sky all from your own paradise getaway
Home is 100% walk in, fabulous kitchen great for preparing wonderful meals to enjoy with your family or friends. Spacious living area in the great room with two lovely sitting areas. which opens up to the peaceful ocean front lanai (deck). Comfy beds in individualized decorated bedrooms and baths,. Imagine yourself waking up gazing out at the blue pacific from your cal king bed in the fabulous master suite or having your morning coffee on your private lanai enjoying the morning sea breeze kissing your skin. Large walk-in shower with built in bench, two sinks one for each and a large walk in closet. Should you have work or schooling needs there is a small office nook with high speed secure internet throughout the house. Two bicycles a paddle, boogie boards a array of snorkeling equipment, fishing poles and beach chairs are provided and help yourself to fresh papaya when the tree is giving but always rosemary on hand for that special taste.
Home has central AC with split in master suite, however the nights beautiful trade wind breezes provide wonderful cooling air. Entertainment center comes with complimentary programing such as Netflix, Prime, Hulu AppleTV (paid programming is on you) As mentioned we offer concierge service (on request) should you want your favorite beverage of food waiting for you on arrival as well as guiding you to activities and events.

Beautiful home and property!!

The property and house were beautiful and even better than the pictures. So peaceful and it was wonderful waking up to that view every day! The owner was fantastic to work with after a glitch in the system at VRBO. He continued to be awesome and very accommodating. Ashley (concierge) was fun and very helpful with places to go, suggestions for food and cool beaches and anything else we needed. Best 10 days we've had on vacation in a while, and it was truly hard to leave for home when it was over.

Great place

Very nice place, neat and clean. Quiet and relaxing with beautiful views of sunsets. Just a five min walk is Turtle beach where we saw a lot of turtles and a nice little beach. From the house we could see dolphins jumping and more turtles! Diveing and some tours About one mile away at Patrick's diving adventures. Away from the hustle of the city but not too far from everything exciting. Would recommend to a friend. One thing, there is no access to enter the water from the house. You can stand on the rocks and view everything but the nearest beach is turtle beach and it's only 5 minutes walk.

Stunning home! Clean, beautiful, with everything you need.

Bobber and Ashlee were super friendly and accessible if needed. The house was immaculate...so beautifully decorated. The view was spectacular! Everything one needed was provided, even down to board games for the quiet evening in. The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed coming up with tropical-themed meals together. We are going to miss sleeping with the sound of the waves crashing right off the yard...amazing! There are two quiet beaches very close by. Close enough, even our 21-month old walked it. One of the beaches has huge turtles that come and sunbath at the same time every day. The area of Waianae isn't quite what we had expected...a little economically suppressed. But that didn't stop us from having a wonderful time. Thank you for the great vacation!

Amazing house with amazing beach nearby

This house is even better than the pictures. Beautiful, clean and well stocked. Incredible views of the ocean and extremely close to a beautiful soft-sand beach. Another beach is even closer that has turtles many times throughout the day. The best aspect is that the beach has very few tourists on it so you really feel like you have it all to yourself. Certainly will stay here again when we return to Oahu. Highly recommend.

I wish I was a poet so I could do this property justice. Imagine waking up, getting a cup of coffee (or tea), opening the large sliding door to the deck, sitting inside on the couch or outside on the deck, listening to the surf, and watching the whales. When you finally get a little motivation, you walk to the seawall and watch the sea turtles, then stroll the property looking at the flowers and look north to the Mākua Keaʻau Forest Reserve. Later, you drive down the street and try one of the local restaurants. With all of that, your expectations will still be exceeded. The itself is house is very comfortable, it is well laid out, nicely decorated and has a great modern kitchen. The communication with the owner was great, he responded quickly and all of the instruction were easy to understand. This is a residential area, which means it was very peaceful and quiet, but it also means there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance. If you're going to Hawaii to relax, there can be no better place than this house.

This house was amazing everything was high end. The view was unbelievable we saw whales out in front of the house almost daily. It was like our own little piece of paridise. Loved it would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Ocean Front Paradise

Our family of 5 adults looked forward to our Oahu vacation for almost a year after booking this property. We were not disappointed in our expectations! When we arrived for check in we were extremely happy to see that the pictures were accurate, though one can't really see how wonderful the property is from simply looking at the pictures. It is a beautiful home on the ocean. The concierge service met us and explained the 'workings' of the home and was available the entire month for any questions not covered in the initial "welcome". The physical layout of the home is perfect for 'togetherness' when we wished....or for some private times in our en suite bedroom areas. Wi-fi worked great for those needing to keep in touch with work or family and friends. We enjoyed our short walk to 'turtle beach' where we saw the turtles sunbathing about every afternoon. Nearby beaches were beautiful and not crowded at all during the holiday season. When anyone wanted the Waikiki life for a few hours it was a fairly easy drive into Honolulu....(but not during rush hour!) The kitchen was extremely well-equipped. Most evenings we cooked at home, grilling fresh fish from (in our opinion) the best fish market in Honolulu...Tamashiro. The owner of the property was quick to respond to all inquiries and we were able to meet him prior to our departure. The property and grounds are meticulously maintained. We would certainly return if the opportunity occurs. Sunsets were unbelievable.....and every night except two! Lots of terrific memories to bring back with us when we returned to reality!

Amazing home for family holiday

We had an awesome time and the house was amazing. Everyone really enjoyed exploring the island and our mum had a great 70th birthday :) Our stay in Makaha was certainly the highlight of the trip. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Ocean Front Home

Such a lovely ocean front property. From the moment that we walked in, it was open and airy. The patio doors opened to the view of the ocean. It was fully equipped to accommodate our needs. The decor is nicely done and gives the feel of being at the beach. The upstairs Master bedroom and bath along with a private patio was a very nice perk.

Great Home!

This is a great place to stay. Awesome home with spectacular views. We did not want to leave on outings it was so beautiful. The house is located on coral, but short walk to two beaches - one of them had turtles sun bathing! The concierge and manager Ashlee was a delight. Very helpful, we took advantage of the concierge service, refrigerator stocked upon arrival. Quiet neighborhood, gorgeous sunsets from the luxury of your own lanai... The home was perfect for my family of five adults. Easy check in and out. Awesome experience!

Absolutely beautiful!

We had a wonderful time. The house and location on the water were everything we wanted for our vacation. The house and outside landscape were clean and well maintained. Ashlee, the property manager, met us upon arrival, as promised. Ashlee provided lots of information on the surrounding area - beaches, hiking areas, restaurants and markets.

Amazingly ideal !!

This was a perfect choice for us & our friends on our Hawaiian vacation. The home met all our needs; it was beautiful, immaculate, spacious, ocean front & every detail needed to make our stay perfect was covered. Great spot for a relaxing vacation away from the high traffic of Honolulu. Beautiful Makaha beach steps away with all of the amenities for a perfect Hawaiian get away. Clean comfortable well kept home right on the ocean with plenty of living space indoors and out. Close to shopping and all the local flavor, will absolutely stay again on our next trip. Amazing house

Great location on Oahu.

Cannot say enough good things about this home. Our family of four had 7 great nights at the House at Upena. A short walk to the beautiful Makaha Beach, the house sits in a perfect location. Well suited for one or two families, large kitchen, living space and well maintained. Kona coffee in the A.M. overlooking the bay, or relaxing with a good book on the deck while the waves hit the shore. We loved it. Away from the city yet close to many locations on Oahu. Mahalo!

Wonderful home right on the ocean. Completely rebuilt and furnished with excellent taste.

This was our home base for a one week family vacation on Oahu. There were 5 of us and the house is large enough to give everyone space. The quality of features, fixtures and furnishings that went into the rebuild is truly impressive. What's even more impressive is that you have two amazing beaches within a 5 min walk. The first, affectionately called turtle beach by the locals, did not disappoint. We saw (3) sea turtles nearly every day we were there. The other, Makaha beach, is a long strip of beautiful sand with local surfers on one end, boogie boarders at the other and a few tourists in between. Don't forget to check out the bird sanctuary about a half dozen miles north of the house at the end of HWY 1. It's an amazing 3 mile flat hike with whales, spinner dolphins, albatross and other nesting birds. The only negative about the location might be a positive to many. The west shore of Oahu is where you go to get away from the crowds. It's the dry side of the island so don't expect it to be lush and green like the north or east shores. For us, we did day trips all over the island almost every day. It's nearly always raining somewhere in HI and it was a joy to come home to this house for peace, quiet and no rain.
