About the host
Hosted by peter henderson
Juliet, my daughter, and I purchased this lovely property for our use as we really liked the feel of it, and I was retiring. Juliet, her children and I have lived there, and it is likely she will stay there again in the future. We have not made many changes. During covid Juliet carried out some furniture, floor painting and added some features to bring even more ambience, which has proved very popular with guests.
Why they chose this property
It is a whole house built in 1860 and is fairly original. It has a very nice feel to it and is built on the curve with front and back gardens. The outlook to Broughton St Mary's, a very lovely parish church, and Bellevue Crescent gardens is very comforting.
I have known the area for more than 60 years as in 1956 I moved with my parents, my brothers and sisters to a flat that we still have nearby in Scotland Street.
I live a few minutes away so usually available at short notice.

What makes this property unique
We love the architecture, the location, the size and the flexibility of the house. It feels very private , yet you can step out of the front gate and be in the centre in a few minutes.
