Since 2015 Portugal has more strictly enforced a long-standing law requiring anyone providing paid holiday accommodation to record the entry, exit, and identification details of all non-Portuguese nationals who use that accommodation . This law has been brought into force in Portugal and more other EU countries at some point since the gradual implementation of the 1990 Schengen Agreement that aims to stop human trafficking and other illegal practices. In this case, it is specifically Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent Local Accommodation law in Portugal that has brought this rule into sharper focus.
For this reason, all guests of every reservation need to show their passports, so we can collect the required information.

Highly Recommend

Miguel and his wife are wonderful people and have put together a number of wonderful rentals. The property is clean and safe and they will go out of their way to offer guidance on where to go and what to do. Whether is food or adventure they are the perfect hosts. They genuinely care about thier guests and it shows. I will definitely stay her again when I return and highly recommend to anyone considering staying at the Ruby Charm House. When you do go please tell them hello for me.

Appartement très coquet, très propre ,avec jardin bien aménagé pour se détendre ou pour se restaurer. Nous avons apprécié les délicates attentions de Miguel et Maria João (lait , gâteaux, confiture, fromage ...et même du Porto ) ainsi que toutes leurs recommandations et suggestions de visite de la ville et commodités proches ( supermarché, resto ) . Tout était parfait, nous recommandons vivement leur location.
