Sunny View, a modern 4 star relaxing base for exploring the Isle of Wight

*****4 Star Visit England rating******

Welcome to Sunny View our lovely holiday chalet in a private holiday village on the Isle of Wight. This self catering accommodation is set in a secluded part of the Island with access to the beach. The chalet is well presented and large enough to accommodate a family of 4 for a comfortable relaxing holiday. Sunny View has two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin room, a family bathroom with bath and shower and an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with full height windows and a view across The Solent to Hurst Castle.

We made extensive updates to Sunny View in 2018. Changes include new laminate flooring in the lounge/kitchen and new carpets in the bedrooms, new bedroom furniture in twin room and a new bed and furniture in the double room. A range of other new items including cutlery, crockery, light fittings and furniture in the lounge area. A new smart Television, connected to WiFi (which is supplied free of charge) and a radio/CD player can be found in the lounge area. USB charging points are available in the lounge, kitchen and both bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with a built in oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A new picnic style table is outside on the patio with a parasol for shade if needed. In 2019 the chalet has had a new roof, with additional insulation, assisting the central heating to keep Sunny View warm in the winter. Further updates have included new sofas, new dishwasher, washer drier, dining chairs, microwave and washing line.

The chalet has the facilities you would expect including WiFi access, smart TV with DVD player, a selection of books, xbox 360 games console and traditional board games, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge area and bedrooms. Facilities are provided to sit outside on the patio, eating, relaxing and enjoying the amazing view across towards the mainland and Hurst Castle. Bed linen and towels are included in the hire price but please bring your own beach towels. Sunny View has gas central heating and all gas, water and electricity are included in the price. Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the property, and Sunny View does not accept pets.

The bedrooms are well appointed with wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. Bedside lamps and mirrors are in both rooms and a hairdryer is also provided. The double bedroom has a 4ft 6in black metal frame bed and the twin room two white wooden frame beds, allowing plenty of room for storage of cases underneath. Both bedrooms have DAB clock radios. Additional blankets and pillows are available on request from the owners.

On site facilities include charging for electric vehicles, laundry, pitch and putt, nine hole mini golf course, crazy golf childrens play area, football pitch. gym trail and extensive grassed areas. Access to the beach and amazing views of the Needles and Hurst Castle are just a short walk away. There are some charges for use of the on site facilities, via the site management office. Nearby attractions include the Needles Pleasure Park at Alum Bay with the coloured sands and chairlift, Freshwater Golf Course, Dimbola Lodge and photographic museum, and Farringford House the former home of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Other local activities include horse riding, water sports, walking alpacas, fossil hunting and access to an extensive walking and cycling experience that is the Isle of Wight. Afton Down and Tennyson Down are among the most popular and spectacular walks

Freshwater and Yarmouth are a short drive away with local shops and eating places including the Red Lion in Freshwater, a favourite eating place for visitors. Yarmouth is a historic town, with a Tudor castle with the ferry from Lymington arriving here, here you will find a range of local shops and eating places to delight you. Amazing ,very well set out a brilliant place to stay.
We were very impressed with Sunnyview . The owners were lovely and really made our stay a happy one. They left us a goody basket of fresh bread, tea, coffee, biscuits, chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge bless them. The accommodation was spaciously set out. Comfortable furniture and all very clean. A home from home. Comfy beds for a good night's sleep. WiFi too. The area was peaceful ,. The beech a few mins walk away. We hope to stay here again.
