About this property
2 Bedroom holiday bungalow with sea views to the needles, 2 min walk to beach
Brambles Chine is part of the 40 acre Linstone Chine Holiday Village. Number 228 is situated on the unspoilt, picturesque West Wight coast, occupying a south facing, front line position on the site which provides a premium unobscured sea view across to the world famous Needles and views over farmland, towards Tennyson Down.
In front of the bungalow is a large grassed area leading to a safe bathing beach, only 2 minutes walk away. The property is south facing and in the evenings there are the most amazing sunsets as the beach is West facing.
Note old reviews are pre refurbishment:
2021 - the property was redecorated throughout and re roofed, and a new laminate floor fitted in the lounge diner.
2022 new UPVC windows have been installed with French Doors opening onto the Patio, new carpets have been fitted in the bedrooms and new curtains in the bedrooms and lounge diner. A new power recliner 4 seat sofa and recliner armchair have just been installed and a 50 inch wall mounted Samsung TV with Soundbar.
2023 Bedroom 2 - new bunk bed and mattresses.
2024 New Patio
Colwell Bay has a few beach shops, cafes, seafront Restaraunt 'The Hut' (Book early) paddle boats and windsurf hire. From Colwell Bay to Totland bay there is a promenade walk to another beach, cafe and restaurants.
The bungalow is close to Yarmouth and Freshwater village where there is a good selection of shops, supermarkets, take-away meals, cafes and restaurants, plus a Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool.
There is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area from which can be seen views of the countryside and sea.
The kitchen is fitted with fridge, freezer, gas hob, electric oven and microwave. A gas combination boiler provides hot water and central heating if required. There is a 50" Samsung T.V and soundbar, PS3 for Games, DVD and Blu-rays, a DVD player and a small hifi unit. Free site wireless Internet is available speeds vary can go a bit slow if a lot of users on the site so Netflix is hit and miss but I have left a large collection of DVDs. The Soundbar is also a Bluetooth Speaker, there is also a Radio/CD player.
The bathroom is fully tiled with a washbasin, W.C, bath with shower over and a shaving point. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a bunk bed with a double lower bed.
**Linen and duvet covers are not provided**. Bedding is provided - 4 double duvets, 4 single duvets, (Summer and Winter) plus pillows. The site office block houses a small shop, laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers (coin operated).
Places of interest in the area include Yarmouth Harbour and yachting Centre, the old town and castle, Alum Bay with its coloured sands and chairlift, the Needles Pleasure Park, Calbourne Mill and Chessell Pottery. From Freshwater Bay over Tennyson Down is perhaps the finest picturesque walk of all island walks. Afton Golf Club is nearby and Compton Bay, a long, unspoilt beach, popular for swimming and famous for its dinosaur fossils, is on the West coast road, a few miles south of Freshwater Bay. I will email more information.
