Cottage at the Moulin de la Mothe in Quimperlé

On the way to the clod, each meter traveled will bring you closer to your vacation. Two hairpin bends, you have a few hundred meters to go; the river 'éllé' will guide you to the Mill. You cannot go further, 'paradise' is at your feet.
The accommodation is very comfortable; the first look through the windows of your accommodation will take you into the present moment, that of your vacation. In its green setting, the mill invites you to observe more closely the ball of salmon which porpoises and trout which chase away the insect or the flight of the kingfisher which surreptitiously blues its passage. Pedalo and canoes will allow you to penetrate the aquatic nature as closely as possible. Not a minute lost, the decompression is total, the holidays are very real; table tennis, table football and swings welcome you a few meters from the covered barbecue, still hot from yesterday's festivities.

A day of discovery: Thirty minutes by expressway, Quimper welcomes you in its city center or overlooks its cathedral. The return
by the coastal road you will discover Concarneau, its fishing port and its fortified city. Then Pont Aven, with its art galleries, will close this day of discovery. The Moulin de la Mothe will in turn ensure a well-deserved rest from a busy tourist outing, in its exceptional green setting.

Quimperlé Historical Center: Leaving the Mill, 20 minutes of walking through the woods, along the 'éllé' river, across the 'flowery' bridge, you reach the Sainte Croix church and its crypt. You are immersed in the historic heart of Quimperlé ..... Guided tours are free during the summer season.

Vannes, fortified city: 45 minutes by expressway, the Gulf of Morbihan opens its doors to the old town of Vannes. A guided boat tour will allow you to discover the islets of the gulf.
Do not forget to stop for a few moments in Auray, on the way back. The little detour is worth it.
The beaches of Guidel and Pouldu are 13 km away.

NB: After this little escape, let's go back to our house; a small precision is brought concerning the bed linen and the bathroom linen. Some tourists take their towels and bed linen. Others are not. So, at your request, we can provide bed linen and towels for the stay, for the sum of 8 € per bed for the sheets and 3 € for the bathroom linen. Please let us know in advance to facilitate the installation.

Ein Traum im grünen

Von der ersten Sekunde an waren wir im Urlaub.Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war super ( ein wenig englisch und deutsch in Kombination mit unseren schlechten Französisch Kenntnissen war ein Traum). Dieser Ort, wenn man Ruhe und Natur sucht ist perfekt. Die 200 Jahre alte Wassermühle umgebaut zu einem Feriendomizil ist an Charme kaum zu übertreffen. Wir für uns haben uns zum Ziel gesetzt nochmal dort eine so schöne Zeit zu verbringen. Nochmals vielen Dank an die Gastgeber, die in ihrem ganzen erscheinen und ihrer Leichtigkeit uns ein zu Hause geboten haben.Also für Menschen die naturverbunden und sich vor Augen führen das dieses Gebäude eine über 200 Jahre alte Geschichte hat - Match made in Heaven.

Wundervoll verwunschener Ort - Bretagne Pur

Wir hatten eine herrliche, leider viel zu kurze Woche in der oberen der beiden Wohnungen der Mühle. Die Mühle selbst und der liebevoll gepflegte Garten darum herum sind ein wunderbar verwunschener Schatz. Christine und Jean Louis sind großartige Gastgeber, immer hilfreich mit guten Tipps und voller spannender Geschichten zum Ort. Man bräuchte eigentlich keinerlei Ausflüge außerhalb dieses Flusstales mehr zu unternehmen. Allerdings gibt es dafür dann doch viel zuviele schöne Strände und Orte in der näheren und weiteren Umgebung zu entdecken.

Toller Urlaub in der Natur

Traumhafte Unterkunft, mitten in der Natur, es hat sich sofort wie Urlaub angefühlt. Die urige und liebevolle Ausstattung lässt alles gemütlich wirken. Der Garten ist wild und zauberhaft. Die ständige Möglichkeit mit Tretboot oder Paddelboot zu fahren ist wirklich super. Der Gastgeber ist sehr wirklich zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und nett. Immer wieder gern.

Magnifique!

Tout au bout du bout d’un chemin boisé qui déjà dépayse, bordé par la rivière l’Ellé, nous découvrons un havre de paix qui a presque eu pour nous une valeur thérapeutique. Les gargouillis de l’eau, le chant des oiseaux, la quiétude des lieux nous a permis de nous ressourcer dans un écrin de verdure. Les hôtes sont discrets mais toujours disponibles et ravis de partager l’histoire du Moulin. De retour régulièrement sur Quimperlé, nous avons définitivement trouvé notre halte estivale!

Un p’tit coin d’paradis

Magnifique gîte dans un ancien moulin à eau (il a une sacrée histoire) assis sur l’Ellé et entouré d’arbres qui a été restauré par les propriétaires. Le jardin arboré prête à la rêverie, à la sieste ou tout simplement à la contemplation. Des canoës, pédalo sont gracieusement mis à disposition, et comme il a fait très chaud, je me suis baignée quotidiennement dans la rivière, sans problème. Nous étions une famille de 7, dont 2 ados de 14 et 11 ans, une fillette de 7 ans et 4 adultes. Le gîte (à l’étage) est vaste, la cuisine bien aménagée, les lits très confortables. Les hôtes très sympathiques, généreux. Je recommande fortement ce lieu insolite à toute personne cherchant la quiétude.

Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wer Natur mag, besonders Wasser, ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben. Ein Fluss zum Paddeln, Tretbootfahren, StandUpPaddeln, Planschen...direkt vor der Nase :-), wunderschöne Wälder zum Wandern, das Meer mit Sand- und Felsenstränden schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Jean-Luc ist der sehr liebe und hilfsbereite Besitzer und wohnt vor Ort. Die Mühle ist sehr schön, die Wohnung für unsere große Familie, 2 Erwachsene, 4 Kinder / Jugendliche zum Glück sehr geräumig. Für Hunde perfekt. Sie liegt abseits des schönen Ortes Quimperle, welcher zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen ist. Wir haben uns an diesem Ort - trotz des sehr wechselhaften Wetters sehr wohl gefühlt.

Endroit magnifique, qui fait rêver et permet de respirer

Très belle expérience dans un endroit d'eau et de verdure isolé de tout bruit citadin et pourtant assez proche de la ville. Nous avons aimé le bon accueil des propriétaires, la praticité du gîte aux chambres bien isolées, de voir l'eau pure coulée sous nos fenêtres, pouvoir faire du kayak, fu pédalo,du ping pong, du baby-foot à volonté, et aussi le coin barbecue et le fait que les jardins soient bien protégé de risque de chute dans l'eau pour les enfants. Et cerise sur le gâteau les plages du coin sont superbes. Nous retournerons sans doute au moulin de la mothe

Escape to the country

We arrived very late (0130 hrs) and were welcomed by Jean, who had waited for us. The property is extensive and we quickly settled. Our grandson and daughter in law loved their time on the river Elle on the supplied boats. A convenient property for discovering the area.

Fantastic property in a beautiful part of the world`

Myself and family enjoyed a two week stay in this beautiful property. Situated on the banks of the river Elle the property provides traditional french accomodation surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery you will see. This, coupled with easy access to the river (including boats) surrounding woodlands and easy access to the local town and beaches made it a most enjoyable holiday for all the family. Much reccomended.
