Cabin was beautiful and as advertised. Minor trouble upon arrival but host quickly took care of the situation. My Wife and I plus Children and Grandchildren and Son in Laws loved the place. Beds were very comfortable and cabin easily handled our large family. Location is close enough and also far enough away. Bears were there daily but just wanted to say hi.

The host was great. This property is beautiful and has a great view of the mountains from the front porch. Location was perfect for our motorcycle rides, and trips to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. The parking wasn't great for trucks and motorcycles trailers. And not an easy ride upto the house and down the driveway. The house was basically clean, but could use a good deep cleaning. Over all we loved our stay here and would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful views, a little worn, but homey. Need more garbage space and Wi-Fi, but overall really enjoyed our time. We had a mama bear and her 3 babies visit us, which was exciting. Owners were good about responding every time. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Family Weekend Away

Our trip was a Christmas gift for our grandparents with their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. We had a wonderful time. The location is great- away from all of the hustle and bustle but a short drive if want to find something to do. We had 6 bear right under our porch so that was the exciting part of the stay for the kiddos!

Beautiful cabin- views

Beautiful cabin and more than enough room for our family and their little families. The view was beautiful. Kitchen was fully stocked. Cleanliness I gave it an 4 out of 5 stars due to toilets being dirty and could probably use a deep cleaning. But overall I would rent again.

Propert was fine. Loved the house. It was dusty. Xmas or same ya under couch cushions. Soda cans on outside of home when we got there. The key pad on main door couldn’t get to work. On a daily basis the power in one of the room kept popping. When we arrived water bottle by hot tub. The WiFi didn’t work after the first day. Had to use hot spot

Amazing Family get-together

Family in town from all over the USA to visit the Smokies, some to re-live old memories and some for the first time. Easy access to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and local attractions in Wears Valley and Townsend. Also lots to do in the cabin when the weather was bad.

Bear Country!

We had some amazing bear encounters which made the vacation quite memorable. There are fairly steep driveways, so be mindful of the vehicle that you drive to this location. Gary and Vicki were great hosts - very nice and quick to communicate. We had a very nice week.

Loved it!!

We loved the house and the space but, whoever cleans definitely missed a lot! We swept and moved one couch and looked like a years worth of crumbs and trash was under it! And in the cushions.

Family Vacation

My bonus son is in the Army stationed in Georgia and I love the Tennessee mountains so what better way to get a few days with him as he doesn't get much leave time. The house was more than perfect size for 8 adults. It was exactly how it was described and the owners were very responsive. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Well maybe a little warmer weather but nothing the hot tub didn't fix.

Amazing Location

Excellent place to stay in the Smoky’s. Loved the deck and chairs to enjoy morning coffee or relaxing afternoons. Good central location to enjoy all the amenities. We had bear visits regularly. One even came up on the deck and peek into our cabin through the glass. We would have enjoyed more lighting on the deck in the evenings. Owner said it was a bad breaker, but electrician never made it out to repair. Other than that, a great place for multiple families.

"Dirty and Unprepared—Disappointing Stay"

I was very disappointed with my stay at this cabin. When I arrived, the place was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guests. Even after contacting the owner, the cabin wasn’t cleaned until two hours after my scheduled check-in time. Although I was told the cabin would be ready by 3:30 PM, it wasn’t. The cabin itself is in need of a deep cleaning and proper maintenance. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

Four generation vacation

This was our first four generation vacation and it was wonderful. The cabin was clean, well stocked, beautiful and there was plenty of space for all of us. Our group ranged in age from 8-80 and we all enjoyed. The kids loved to hang out downstairs in the game room while the older adults spent a lot of time on the front porch enjoying the amazing views. We all ate meals together and played games at night and there was plenty of room. The location was close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. We saw two bears while we were there. One, small one, came onto the front porch but turned and left when he saw he wasn't alone. The second, larger one, was seen at the bottom of the yard. He sniffed around and walked back into the woods. The hosts were very helpful with all my questions before the trip and were quick to respond when we had an issue. We made some 'Amazing Memories' here and would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed staying at this cabin it was spacious enough to accommodate our large family and we loved being in Wears Valley. There is a bear family that stays around the property and we saw them almost every day. One bear stayed in the tree beside the deck and my kids loved waking up to see if he was still there. They also loved the large game room downstairs. The beds were very comfortable and we had plenty of bathrooms for everyone. There is a skylift walking distance to the cabin and highly recommend checking that out and also the general store at the bottom of the hill. The view was also definitely beautiful. Would stay here year after year!

Very nice property. We enjoyed our stay. There are some maintenance needs. Bears were an issue and were there every day. Also would be nice to have some contact numbers if there was a problem. We did contact the host thru VBRO about a shower/water leak issue but received no response. Overall we enjoyed our time at this property.

The cabin is very spacious, we had 16 people and it was great. The location was good. The drive is very steep, but easily manageable. We had two vehicles, and a church van. The view is awesome, the bedrooms spacious. The house was very clean. The only issue we had was the upstairs shower had been patched and when one of the boys took a shower the patch failed and leaked through the ceiling. I immediately notified the owner, and they said maintenance would be out the next day, I don't know if they did or not. We had the two boys shower in our room. The communication could have been better. When we left I messaged to let them know we were leaving and received a thumbs up. No thank you or anything. For the amount of money I spent a thank you, or I am sorry for your trouble would have been nice. I requested the 10 percent rebate that is on the listing before we got there but haven't heard from that either, I am not leaving bad stars because other than those very minor things this was a great stay. Better communication would have made this a 5 star stay. Things break and can't be held against the homeowner. If the 10 percent group/first responder discount is not available then maybe remove it from the listing to avoid issue.

It was a great location for our group of 15 adults and 2 toddlers. We had several close up interactions with a mama bear and 3 babies on the balcony, so stay alert when coming and going. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our big group. The only critiques we had echo what others have said here: place needs a deep clean. While kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, places like under couch cushions and ceiling fans were not. (And toddlers find everything.) Had some dust bunnies land in our coffee when a fan was turned on. Otherwise, it was very comfortable for the price. Host was very responsive. Would book again!

12 of us celebrating a 40th bd party with family. Great location, lots of bear sightings. We enjoyed the deck every evening. The dining table was large enough for us to all sit and play cards. and the 10% military discount is definitely a plus! The beds are a bit uncomfortable, especially the ones in the downstairs bedroom with the two beds. the bunkbeds in the game room need to be replaced, they squeaked all night, even with just one child using it. The sofa couch in the main living area is very uncomfortable to sit on. We did not use it as a bed. The seven bedrooms included the sofa couch in the living room the open area bunkbeds in the game room and the sofa bed in the game room. The house could use a thorough cleaning lots of cobwebs and dust everywhere. with all that being said, we really enjoyed our stay and finding accommodations for the size of a group is not always easy. We try and do family trips every two years and this trip did not disappoint.
