The luxury accommodation of Villa Annie comprises a modern, three-storey, townhouse in the Grapevines complex (EOT licence: 1040K91003095901), overlooking the stunning vista of Makry Gialos bay and surrounding Sitia mountains.

With beautiful thriving gardens and a superbly maintained 18m x 11m pool, the large communal area outside the front door of Villa Annie is a fabulous spot to chill out and do your own thing. Additionally, there are copious, free parasols and loungers outside of the accommodation to cater for everyone’s preference for sun or shade.

As well as being fully air conditioned, the accommodation has fly-screens throughout, with wall-to-wall hand rails and barriers on each balcony. Also, WiFi is freely available. Beach towels and a hair dryer are provided free of charge.

Der perfekte Spätsommerurlaub!

Der Ort hat viele große Hotels, aber die Villa Anni liegt mit den anderen Villen geschütz in der zweiten Reihe, so dass wir uns ganz privat fühlten. Das Haus hatte alles was wir brauchten auch Meerblick! Der Pool ist groß, so dass schwimmen schon am Morgen Spass macht. Durch die Lage am Ortsrand sind auch zwei unglaublich schöne, natürliche Strände schnell und gut zu Fuß zu erreichbar. Im Ort gibt es flache Sandstrände, was den Kindern viel Spaß gemacht hat. Der Ort hat schöne Geschäfte, auch für Gemüse und Käse, und viele schöne kleine Strandtavernen. Ausflüge in die Umgebung sind ebenfalls sehr lohnend. Ein Kontakt zurHausverwaltung war jederzeit möglich. Wir waren sehr zufrieden :-)

Excellent villa

We've stayed in many VRBO units, and this was one of the best as it felt like home. Unit was nicely appointed, bed was very comfy, kitchen had everything we needed and then some (ice cubes and trays for making more, cold packs and a cooler bag for packing a lunch, etc.) Complex was very quiet and the pool was fabulous. Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Excellent communication with the owner and the detailed driving instructions from the airport were greatly appreciated. Staff on sight were very friendly and helpful. Only negative was that the wifi wasn't appropriate for streaming, but the wide selection of movie dvds made up for it. Would highly recommend this unit.

Simply the best

Just back from 3 weeks at Villa Annie and simply the best villa holiday we have had, and I say this as a family that has done mainly villa holidays for the last decade. And it started from the outset, without a doubt the most proactive pre-visit engagement from our host and then the management company, including driving directions. The villa was spotless and extremely well equipped. A nice touch was the clips for using towels on deck chairs, and a cooler bag with ice blocs which we made extensive use for our daily excursions. And the kids loved the fast wifi! Absolutely no issues with the villa and it quickly felt like a home-away-from-home and we would return in a heartbeat. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and although Gabbiano (turn right) was very good, Alliotiko (turn left) was much better value and our personal favourite. So many fantastic beaches, our favourites were Dragons Cave and Achlia Beach as deeper and better suited to snorkelling. We did visit the main beach (shallow so better suited to young kids) for the watersports and would highly recommend George's Watersports, a family run business. We also rented Quad bikes from Manolis Bikes in Agios Nikolaus who delivered the bikes to the villa and collected them at the end of the period. Again highly recommended. Overall one of our best villa holidays!

Tolles Haus in einer sehr schönen gepflegten Anlage

Das Haus ist ist eines von 20 in einer sehr gepflegten Anlage mit Pool. Es wurde scheinbar vor wenigen Jahren renoviert. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und würden es definitiv weiterempfehlen!!! Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war freundlich und unkompliziert. Vor Ort gibt es ein Management, was jederzeit erreichbar ist und sich sehr schnell kümmert, falls notwendig. Bei uns lediglich eine fehlende Kaffeemaschine, die innerhalb von 2 Stunden zur Verfügung gestellt wurde. Der Ort ist sehr schön, er hat sehr nette Tavernen, das Preis / Leistungsverhältnis ist unglaublich! Zu viert haben wir nie mehr als 60 € bezahlt (inkl. angemessenem Trinkgeld) Ca. 800 Meter zum schönsten Strand am Ort mit einer netten Taverne und unglaublich schönem türkisen Wasser. Zu den Tavernen, mit Tischen direkt am Meer sind es ca. 1,2 km, vorbei an vielen kleinen schönen Geschäften.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in Villa Annie, Makry Gialos. De eigenaren en het management waren zeer behulpzaam en hebben ons van alle informatie en gemakken voorzien. De lijstje was perfect, zeer schoon en de bedden en badkamers waren perfect.

We are English-speaking, lifelong UK-residents.
Following lengthy careers in industry/business we stopped working in 2015 to spend more time with family and to enjoy extended spells in Crete.

Why they chose this property

Following our first visit to Crete for holiday in 1995 we always planned to return. For a number of years thereafter we holidayed further afield but deep down we always wanted to have our own place in the sun that was easily accessible from the UK and didn't require a long haul flight.
Villa Annie's design, build and location ticked all of the boxes!

Having now lived in our own place for lengthy periods we have taken considerable time to make it feel like home and not a holiday apartment. Our family and friends have all commented on this and how 'at home' they feel when they stay in Villa Annie. We sincerely hope that you do too.

What makes this property unique

When you first approach Villa Annie through the front gates and see beautiful, mature gardens, surrounding a large, superbly maintained swimming pool you feel special.
Then when you've been greeted, welcomed and shown round, you feel settled-in within minutes.

It's difficult to articulate just how impactful those first impressions can be but we know from feedback that the Villa Annie experience is truly memorable for all of the right reasons. We hope that you'll also feel the same.
