## Neighborhood
Clapham Junction is a vibrant part of London that has everything you could need all in one location. It has brilliant shopping with several high street shops, Mark's and Spencer, Debenhams department store, TK Maxx and several quaint boutiques and independent shops on Northcote road. You’ll never go hungry or thirsty as there are a huge number of bars, pubs, cafes and superb restaurants to drink and eat at in the area. It boasts a huge Asda supermarket, a Lidl supermarket, Wholefoods health food store, a Waitrose as well as a Tesco local just across the street. Beautiful Battersea park just a 10 min walk away and you can reach the Thames in 5 mins and go for a walk along the river.
## Transit
Clapham Junction is a 5 minute walk away from the flat. Clapham Junction is exceptionally well connected by public transport to all parts of London and the South of England. So it serves as a brilliant base to explore London and beyond during your stay.
Gatwick airport is only 30 mins away by direct train. Heathrow airport is between 40-60 mins away by cab depending on time of day and traffic, and about 70 - 80 mins by public transport.
Windsor castle is only 45 mins away by direct train (for those wanting to watch the procession at the Royal wedding!). Wimbledon is only 7 mins away by direct train and the Wimbledon tennis club is then a short bus ride from there. So brilliant for anyone wanting a base to go to Wimbledon tournament in July that will also give you fast and easy access to the rest of London.
Central London and Oxford Street is only a 20-30 min journey via train and tube. London Overground services from Clapham Junction give rapid access to west London including Westfield shopping centre, and east London including Shoreditch.
Buses will take you from just outside the flat to South Kensington for visits to the Natural History Museum, Science museum and V&A (amongst other places)
