Appreciate The All Season Joys Of Northern Michigan With Family And Friends

EBT (STR2019 - 0045) Enjoy a multi-family, extended family, or reunion of friends in our large well appointed home. This house can accommodate 10 guests in beds on two levels. The ground level has 3 bedrooms, living room w/gas fireplace, 2 bathrooms (Master with Jacuzzi tub), dining room (can seat 8), laundry and kitchen. The lower level walkout has 2 bedrooms, large family room with game area and a 3/4 bath. The front deck has chairs for a quiet conversation with friends. It has a large deck that looks over the water with a BBQ grill and patio set to seat 6. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes, pans and utensils you will need to feed the crew - including a dishwasher. There is a bonfire pit below the deck and spectacular views of the placid unspoiled shores across the lake.

Swim or fish from the dock. The two kayaks, row boat with electric motor or oars and a canoe are yours to explore the winding watercourses of Rennie Lake. Life preservers are required by law and available, or bring your own. Please note: Rennie Lake is an all-sports lake, but offers no public access from which to launch a boat.

Beautiful location!

Our family had a wonderful stay! The view from the deck is beautiful! It was so nice to have kayaks to use. The owners were easy to communicate with and the house has everything you could need for a relaxing vacation!

Overall the house was a nice experience. We didn't really get to do much there due to being very busy with wedding things. (Basically we were just able to sleep there.) Lorena was great to work with.

Our two families enjoyed our stay at this lake house. It was clean, spacious, and well stocked. It is not fancy or luxury but was a perfect lake vacation for our two families!

Great Family Gathering Spot

We had three generations in the house for a long weekend. The house is very comfortable and has every need met. Our children (ages 8,10 &12) were at the lake all day - every day. The adults were relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views. I have never seen so many stars in the night sky! Short drive to Traverse City. All around wonderful place!

Enjoyable Week (#3)

This was our third year with family (6 adults/2kids) and we had another nice time. The house had room for everyone. Grandkids enjoyed fishing and going on the rowboat, as well as visiting the parks, splash pad, Mission Point, Dunes, renting pontoon boat (Spider Lake) and more in the area. Adults enjoyed the wineries, golf, tennis at the park nearby, several restaurants. Lorena and Jeff are great hosts and were very attentive.

Classic Up North Michigan

We had an excellent stay enjoying the peace and quiet of a beautiful property. The homeowners really know how to take care of their guests from plenty of towels to toilet paper. I know this sounds silly but we have stayed in fancier locals and only been given one garbage bag and one dish washer soap pod. None of that here. The kitchen was well equipped as we love to cook and the spacious deck gave us room to spread out and enjoy the wildlife. Would give an unqualified recommendation for anyone looking for a peaceful get away in northern Michigan.

Fun & Relaxation on Lake Rennie

Great fun and relaxation on Lake Rennie. We had a large extended family group in for a wedding in Traverse City. The home was spacious and comfortable, accommodating our crowd, allowing us to congregate inside or outside to catch up and hang out. With multiple generations, it was perfect for old folks upstairs and youngsters downstairs in the gaming area. Having the kitchen allowed us to cook meals for our large crowd; saved money not eating out all the time and allowed us to spend more time together. Lake Rennie is shallow and clear, super for swimming and watersports...our crowd really enjoyed the kayaks, canoe, small motor boat, floating rafts, and fishing. We were just 10 minutes from Traverse City; enjoyed Jet Skiing, Parasailing, sightseeing, and dinning. Highly recommend a vacation on Lake Rennie.

The lake house worked out perfectly for our weekend girls trip. Plenty of room for everyone. The house was stocked with everything we needed and then some. The kayaks were also nice to be able to use, as well as the fire pit. We are already planning our next trip there. Location was perfect for Torch Lake and Traverse City outings.

The check-in process was easy. We received a code for access the morning of the day we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked. We had a small family reunion and the house, deck and grounds were plenty big enough. A couple small, trivial things: We needed to get some batteries for the downstairs remotes, the fishing gear could have been better and the deck, as happens with wooden decks, had some nails sticking up (we hammered them down). If coming to the TC area, we would consider staying here again.

A Delightful Getaway On The Lake

4 gals in their 70’s who have been friends for over 50 years take a trip each year. We usually stay outside city limits and drive into the city when we want to. The house was more than adequate, 4 bedrooms plus several couches in the family room. It was very clean, very comfortable and the view of the lake from our dining room was lovely. Best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had and Lorena, the owner is friendly & responds immediately if you have a question or an issue. I would recommend this hideaway tucked into the woods to ANYONE that is looking for a quiet, serene setting within a 20 minute drive to many great restaurants.

We really enjoyed this home. It was clean and very spacious. Even though there were. Only 2 of us vacationing, the house is very spacious for a group. It’s a peaceful spot and the boat was fun to go out fishing. We would consider going back with some friends.

Making memories on Rennie Lake

What a special place for a celebration of two 40th birthdays among friends! We loved Lorena's beautiful home so much we barely left! Rennie Lake is gorgeous and we enjoyed meals on the deck, swimming, hanging around the fire pit, stargazing, and listening to loon calls around sunset. We'd love to return!

What makes this property unique

The fact that this home is on a quiet branch of Rennie Lake connected to but separated from the busier, more populated areas is a plus. The location is steps away from hiking trails on state land and it is a wonderful place to "get away from it all" in every season. The proximity to undeveloped land makes your view of the lake spectacular - no other cottages or homes can be seen. Even your neighbors to the left and right have maintained a privacy screen of native trees and plants. The house is big enough to accommodate your extended family, a place for kids down, adults up, or space to separate families with shared space in the living areas upstairs. In addition, it is close enough to make Traverse City easily accessible. You will love the chance to explore the area again and again.
