Our house tells the story of our family. Alessandra's grandfather, who has lived in a portion of the house with his family for 20 years, fell in love with the splendid dominant position and bought the property in the 1950s after the nearby Pratelli farm, of which it still exists, and well visible from Campo Pineta, the ancient manor castle, it had divided the land with annexed farmhouses previously inhabited by the peasants. Alessandra's father, in the 90s, decided to make an important recovery of the cottage, now in a state of neglect, using a famous architect, who during the restoration has kept intact the characteristics of the old Tuscan farms. The old wood-burning oven is still in existence and functioning! 800 olive trees were planted around the house which in November produce an excellent organic oil. There is also a small vegetable garden that produces seasonal vegetables, available to guests. Alessandra dedicates herself every day with love to the care of the cottage and the land, keeping the family tradition. It is the place where all his big family gets together to celebrate the most important events. Campo Pineta is located in an extremely panoramic position, on the border with Chianti and in the center of the art triangle formed by the cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo. You can easily reach the medieval cities of San Gimignano, Cortona, Volterra and the Casentinesi Forest Park with the hermitages of Verna and Camaldoli, so dear to S. Francesco, as well as Chianti with its splendid farms, characteristic villages and ancient castles. It is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday in contact with nature in complete relaxation, but with the possibility of being able to easily reach the most important artistic and historical places in Tuscany.
