Typical Madeiran House in Calheta, Madeira

This property is a typical Madeiran country house that has been completely and faithfully renovated. This picturesque house is very comfortable, spread over three levels, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 spacious living/dining room and a small, restored wine cellar. We can boast a fully equipped rustic, yet very modern kitchen equipped with stove, oven, washing machine, kettle, toaster and fridge, plus a large kitchen table for everyday meals. You will enjoy a typical “Espetada” (even in rainy days) with the cosy indoor BBQ. On the lower ground floor there is also a garage for two cars.
You can also find a dining room with a unique handmade dining table and a cosy living room with satellite & cable TV channels and also a DVD player and a sound system ready for you to enjoy your favourite movies. Our Internet access service has a Wi-Fi/Wireless system that allows wireless access to the Internet anywhere in the house, in a simple and convenient way. On the first floor’s two guest bedrooms, fully equipped with sheets and blankets, and you can also ask for a baby cot (free of charge).


The main large lounge opens onto a sunny terrace, ideal to sit out with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and simply enjoy the serenity of the place.
If you're travelling in the summer don't forget to try our tasty grapes, selected from the grape varieties planted in Madeira, and enjoy our unique and irresistible passion fruit.

The property is safe for children, and our house has comprehensive safety/security and has been fully inspected by the local authority and tourist office granted an “Alojamento Local” AL (Local accommodation) license.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus auf einer traumhaften Insel

Wir haben in dem schönen Ferienhaus eine wundervolle Zeit auf der traumhaften Insel Madeira verbracht. Das Haus war sauber, zweckmäßig eingerichtet, alles war funktional. Die von anderen Gästen beschriebenen Begrüßungsgesten waren ins leider nicht zugeteilt, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Haus befand sich in Hanglage in einem kleinen Wohngebiet abseits der Hauptstraße. Ab und zu ist ein Auto vorbei gefahren, was aber selten vorkam. Etwas unangenehm waren die teils lauten Nachbarn, die mitunter einen freien Blick auf die sonst wunderschöne Terrasse mit teilweisen Meerblick hatten. Ein Sichtschutz wäre wünschenswert gewesen. Praktisch war auch die zum Haus gehörige Garage, die unmittelbar einen Zugang zum Haus hatte. Ein Mietauto ist sowieso ein Muss. Ansonsten bekommt man nicht viel mit von der Insel. 50 m Weg vom Haus befindet sich eine kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeit, wo man aber alles bekam, was man brauchte. Auch waren zwei Restaurants unmittelbar in der Nähe. Zusammenfassend kann man das Ferienhaus wirklich weiterempfehlen. Wir haben uns insgesamt wohl gefühlt mit den oben genannten Einschränkungen.

Authentisches Haus mit hohem Wohlfühlfaktor

Wenn man echtes Madeira-Flair möchte, ist man in diesem authentischen Haus mit viel Atmosphäre genau richtig! Wir haben uns auf Anhieb in diesen gemütlichen Natursteinwänden wohlgefühlt. Die Räume sind picobello sauber und liebevoll hergerichtet. Die Küche und das Bad sind schon etwas älter, aber sauber und funktional. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Wir wurden mit einer Flasche Madeira und einem schönen Obstkorb begrüßt. Schlüsselübergabe und Betreuung waren perfekt. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die praktische Tiefgarage mit direktem Zugang zum Haus und die riesige Terrasse mit Blick auf Meer und Weinberge. Wir haben kurz vor Weihnachten nahezu täglich auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt. Das Haus ist super ruhig, aber dennoch gut gelegen. Kurze Wege ans Meer, in die Berge oder zur nächsten Levada. Kleiner Supermarkt direkt um die Ecke, Almas Wine-Bar ebenso. Trotzdem ist ein Mietwagen unbedingt zu empfehlen! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen bestimmt noch einmal wieder!!!

Sehr schönes Landhaus mit einem kleinen Weinzimmer und zwei Terrassen. Sehr gute Lage für Exkursionen. Strand von Calheta auch nicht weit weg. Ebenso empfehlenswert zum Baden: Madalena do Mar. Sehr nette Vermieter, die sich um alles kümmern.

Haus in Calheta

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im März 2020 sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Die Terrasse ist riesig, sonnig und ein Teil der Terrasse ist ein großes Blumenbeet voller blühender Rosen und Hortensien. Unter der Terrasse befindet sich die sehr großzügige Garage, die wir gern genutzt haben. Ohne Leihwagen geht es kaum, das Höhenprofil der Insel ist ziemlich extrem... Auch in den Räumen haben wir uns wohlgefühlt, allein der große, alte fantastische Esstisch.. Luft nach oben sehen wir bei den Küchengeratschaften, da ist das eine oder andere etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Insgesamt waren wir aber absolut zufrieden und würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen. Vielen Dank auch für die gefüllte Obstschale und den Begrüßungswein!

Februar 2020 in Estreito da Calheta

Bereits zum zweiten Mal, habe ich dieses schöne Ferienhaus genossen. Es liegt ruhig am Hang, mit wunderbarem Blick von der Terrasse auf die Weinreben, die Hügel und das Meer. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgerüstet, es ist alles vorhanden, wie vom Vermieter angeboten. Ana hat uns persönlich begrüsst und wieder wertvolle Tips für Ausflüge auf der Insel gegeben. Wir werden dieses schöne Ferienhaus sicher wieder besuchen.

Fantastische vakantiewoning voor een vakantie op Madeira. Woonkamer, eetkamer, eetkeuken en boven 2 slaapkamers en daarnaast nog een ‘wijnkamer’ waar je kunt zitten. Groot buitenterras met rozentuintje en op eerste verdieping nog een prachtig terras met een dak van druiven. Eigen overdekte parkeergarage. Schoon en goed ingericht huis voor een eerlijke prijs. Gelegen in een klein woonwijkje. Overdag wat geluid van spelende kinderen ivm achtergelegen school, maar daar hebben wij geen overlast van gehad. Kleine supermarkt dichtbij en een grote supermarkt op ca 4 kilometer bij het strand van Calheta. Een echte aanrader voor bijvoorbeeld een wandelvakantie langs de levadas van Madeira, voor een gezelschap van 2 of 4 personen.

Ein perfekter Urlaub

Guten Tag, wir können die Ferienwohnung zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Sie hat alles was man sich für einen perfekten Urlaub wünscht. In dem Ferienhaus ist über Waschmaschine, Toaster, Staubsauger etc. alles vorhanden. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Lage. Absolut ruhig. Sitzt man abends auf der Terrasse kann man auf's Meer sehen und nebenan den Weinberg bewundern. Calheta hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Weg vom Rummel in Funchal und zentral gelegen für unsere Wanderungen und Inselerkundung. Im Ort gibt es einen großen Supermarkt und gleich um die Ecke einen Minimarket, sodass die Versorgung auch unproblematisch ist. Wir waren zu zweit in dem Ferienhaus und haben deshalb sehr, sehr viel Platz gehabt. Es kann aber auch locker eine vierköpfige Familie einziehen. Platz ist genug da. Und alles ist picobello blitzblank sauber. In einer anderen Rezension wird geschrieben, dass es Hundegebell gab. Lassen Sie sich davon nicht täuschen. Man hat maximal zweimal am Tag den Hund bellen gehört. Wir waren froh darüber, weil es in der FeWo ansonsten wirklich so ruhig ist, das man manchmal überlegt ob man überhaupt noch lebt. Ganz in der Nähe gibt es zwei einheimische Bars wo man einen Cocktial oder Poncha geniessen kann. Wer etwas weiter gehen möchte findet in der Pukiki-Bar eine wundervolles Plätzchen für einen entspannten Cocktail zum Sonnenuntergang. Also nochmals abschließend: Absolute Empfehlung für Erholungssuchende und Wanderer die eine nette Umgebung und Ruhe schätzen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und stehen mit Rat und Tat zu Seite. Einfach Perfekt! Mit freundlichen Grüssen
