Having protected marshlands across the street from Wind Beneath My Wings makes its' location even more uncongested, so the views are that much sweeter. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed our home's unique up/down layout, the two full kitchens, beach equipment, and our communication during your stay. We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing information and rental agreement clearly outlines provided amenities, pet policies, occupancy limits, and approved guests. In fact, before we accept a reservation, we ask the booking individual to complete and sign a guest information form identifying the number and ages of people who will be on the property. This reservation request was accepted only after that information was provided and acknowledged. During his stay, we made several one-time exceptions at his request. Although the home permits one dog, we allowed two. We also accommodated additional adults beyond the originally disclosed occupancy, including use of sleeping arrangements intended for smaller guests. Finally, we permitted additional friends and family members who were staying at other nearby rental homes to visit our property. Doing so brought the total number of people using the home substantially above the permitted occupancy. While we made a one-time exception during his stay, this is not something we can routinely permit. We understand that families often vacation together at Holden Beach and want to spend time with one another. In this case, our oceanfront location and pool made our home the gathering place, creating an overcrowding situation that could result in unsafe conditions for a home of this size. We welcome families and groups who respect the home's stated occupancy and guest policies. We understand that our property may not be the right fit for guests who want to gather multiple households beyond the registered occupancy. We believe being transparent about these expectations helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
