Beautiful 2BR, 2BA Condo in Historic Downtown Home Sleeps 4

This condo nestled in the historic district is a 1 block walk to downtown and all the fun Red Lodge has to offer.

The condo is separate and private apartment within this historic triplex house built around 1899. It was recently renovated with great care. You will find both today’s amenities and last century’s charm. Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, one bedroom has a queen bed and the other 2 comfy twin beds. Both bedrooms are upstairs. Long term rental possible during some months. Best cleaning practices are used here.

Amenities include a full kitchen, living room, gracious dining room with seating for 6, washer, dryer, wifi, flat screen TV, large front porch & back deck & propane grill. Enjoy relaxing or cooking on the deck or take it easy watching the sunset on the generous front porch. Great for couples, groups up to 4 or small families. The backyard is fenced only on 3 sides so it feels private & secluded and still allows for deer & other animals to wander through. Please note that it's definitely not escape proof for dogs.

Great location

Walking distance to downtown makes this charming condo perfect for a stress-free getaway. Kathleen has made sure that all the necessities are provided in this little slice of home away from home. Short drives to nearby national forest hiking trails make this an ideal basecamp.

Lovely Place

Best VRBO experience ever

This Vrbo was a wonderful experience in the heart of Red Lodge, MT. Easy walking distance to numerous, yummy restaurants. Our hostess, Kathleen, was the best. Check-in and check out were super easy. There are beautiful flowers everywhere, along with delightful front and back decks/porches. Perfect location for breakfast and a cup of tea. Or evening wind-down wine.

Another Great Red Lodge Visit

This was the second time that we have stayed at this Red Lodge home away from home and it does feel like home. The location is great, and even though the annual Red Lodge Christmas Stroll was cancelled this year we enjoyed having our own stroll and feeling as though we are locals. Thank you, Kathleen!

This was our second time stay at Kathleen’s property in Red Lodge. Great location, walking distance to town, close to many great hiking trails. The property is spotless, comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Great patio for enjoying cool evenings. We highly recommend this property. We will return again.

Best getaway ever

Red lodge is definitely a go to location for our family. The house fit our needs to a tee. Need to be aware of second level bedrooms but full bath there and stairs were no problem for us. So close to everything- block off Main Street and close to great restaurants. Amazing hostess. Kitchen well stocked if you were cooking. Will be back.

Hiking With Our Dogs

My daughter, our 2 dogs, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this historic home so close to downtown Red Lodge. Accommodating our dogs allowed us to bring our closest companions hiking in the Beartooth Mountains which always is a breathtaking and extraordinary experience. Kathleen, the owner, has created a space that is cozy and inviting, inside and outside. My morning coffees on the back deck with my dog were a total delight. We are grateful for our stay in this home and the town of Red Lodge.

We had such a great stay at the property. The close location to everything in town made it a breeze to grab some food, do some shopping or even get a quick coffee. The house had a great feel to it with all the amenities we needed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything to cook a meal and there was even some coffee and waters for us to enjoy. The host was super friendly and helped us with anything we needed, plus she was great to talk to about the town and the history. Beautiful back yard with plenty of deck space for us to enjoy the wonderful Montana summer evenings. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful Home and Owner

It’s rare to find a pet friendly short term rental so finding Kathleen’s place was certainly serendipitous. It was a charming and well maintained old home. Everything we could need and want was in the home. The owner also supplied dog items like a tray and food bowls as well as provided sheets to cover the couch since our boys are both allowed on furniture. Big plus was the backyard!! As well as location to the Main Street. I would definitely stay again! Thanks Kathleen!!

Beautiful Home

Kathleen was an amazing host. I wish we had more time to porch sit and chat! Her home is so beautiful and comfortable. Every detail taken care and so very clean. Her amazing front and back porch were heavenly with her many flowers, herbs and comfy chairs. Even my dog was treated royally. The house is right in the middle of all that is going on, easy to find and walkable. She had maps and books of the area and many many suggestions of where to go to eat, for hiking and biking. Thank you Kathleen! Hope to return real soon. R

We visited Red Lodge for a wedding. (busy busy) Wildflower Weddings is a gorgeous venue by the way!! Our host Kathleen was amazing! She was available and an ease to work with. The communication was on spot perfect. The location of the condo is epic! One block off all the shopping and dining! You can walk to all these things. Watched deer in the yard and saw the neighborhood moose too. The home was quaint, clean and had every possible thing we needed! The bedrooms are great, bathrooms fantastic, kitchen perfectly sized and cozy living room. There’s a deck off the back and porch seating in the front. Just a perfect rental. I can’t wait to book again, if Kathleen will have me (no pets Kathleen ) I’d love to stay here again and hit the trails and relax!!

Best VRBO EVER!!!!

This was my second time staying at Kathleen’s beautiful home. The house is decorated beautifully with keeping the history alive. I stay in VRBOs when I travel and this is by far the best one I’ve stayed out. The house is clean, comfortable, and has everything you would ever need! Her yard is beautiful with a lovely deck for relaxing and enjoying the clean mountain air. The location is perfect and you can easily walk to anything in town. Absolutely a perfect home away from home. Kathleen is so nice, great communicator and so easy to work with.

I moved to Red Lodge for a summer job....that was over 30 years ago! I have worked and played here ever since. And why not? Come & enjoy the mountains and this wonderful, western town with its year-round fun!

Why they chose this property

This building was built in 1899 as a boarding house for local coal miners. In 1926 the building was changed from a boarding house into separate apartments. Over the years, the old world charm has been maintained as improvements by have been made.
