About this property

In a green setting, large country house, near Salagou Lake

This beautiful dwelling offers charm and comfort in an outdoor setting of Italian inspiration. Spacious and very pleasant to live in, it has room for 10 to 12 people in its 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Large living/dining room of 50 m², completely renovated, convivial and functional, the ground level it opens up to a large terrace on the side of the garden and to the entrance hall.

As an extension of the kitchen, a lounge of 50 m² opens to the terrace, with a pool table.

The house also has a bright library room, and a small office with a computer.

All the bedrooms are on the upper floor, and all of them have direct access to a bathroom. Two spacious bedrooms communicate with each other through a small door.

The garden, is completely enclosed, the 4 x 12 pool is secured by a rigid roller shutter, according to safety standards, for our guests exclusive use. This garden has access to the surrounding countryside and Salagou Lake is just 10 minutes by bicycle.


The house is located in a green haven (see pictures), particularly nice in the summer when the sun is intense.

The garden is embellished with three fountains, which provide gentle and soothing freshness during heat waves.

You can have all your meals outside, on the terrace or on the linden tree path below the terrace, when the heat is strong.

The pool, located on the edge of the garden can be used easily; it does not generate any annoying noises for the residents who would rather enjoy the tranquillity of the house while the others take a dive. With no shadows, its temperature is always pleasant.

The house is located 1 hour and half away from Montpellier-TGV train station and from Béziers where you will find a low cost airport.

It is also 15 minutes away from Saint Guilhem le Désert and Gorges de l'Herault, and close to Sete- Cap d'Agde- Pont de Millau - beaches.

Several outdoor activities can be done around the lake: fishing, mountain bike, horseback riding, hikes, swimming, nautical sports, relaxation, nature...

Two weeks of wonderful, memorable times! This charming chateau in the countryside of Hérault was a perfect respite, creating the right atmosphere for reconnecting with family and friends — old world elegance with modern conveniences. Very enjoyable holiday in a beautiful country setting

The country house is really beautiful, there is more than enough space and the area around is very nice. It offers a large garden, very good pool area and even bikes. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped and there is lots of space and cozy places to sit and dine outside as well. The rooms downstairs are renovated. We loved the flair of the house and garden and we had a very good experience with the kind owners. All in all we really had a lovely time.

We had an excellent stay in the beautiful house near Clermont L’herault. The house itself is gorgeous. It is large, big bed rooms, ditto bathrooms, big kitchen and very well equipped. Old style yet modernized. Lots of personal details. You vividly feel the history behind the house. Huge garden with a beautiful pool. The house is located beautifully nearby a big lake, great for swimming and sailing. 8 mountain bikes in good condition for nice biking around the lake. A dream house for a perfect vacation

We loved the house: the location very close to the Lac de Salagou, the different spaces and rooms, the magical kitchen. The owner and intendent were very nice and accessible and very committed to make our stay as successful as possible. The house is old and this is what makes its charm. It is full of the life of its owners, full of history. Books are everywhere. It has about everything a large family would like. We loved to play pool. We cuddled in front of the TV and the large sofa and chairs. We read, worked and meditated in the library.... We enjoyed the kitchen so much that our whole family gathered to cook together building memories of incredible home made pasta making parties .The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The house is very quiet, allowing to relax, slow down and move away from ultra connectiveness. The WIFI is quite slow and works best in a few rooms. This worked great for us. We thought that the windows and doors were hard to close but this should be fixed soon.
