6 person holiday home in Øvre Årdal

Holiday cottage situated by Tindevegen, 6 km from Øvre Årdal - the gateway to Jotunheimen National Park - and 18 km from Sognefjorden - the worlds longest, inhabited fjord. Jotunheimen has some of the highest mountains in Northern Europe. Tindevegen is the 32 km long mountain road between Årdal and Turtagrø in Luster. The cottage was built in 1954, but renovated with a new bathroom in 2011. It has one bedroom with a family bunk bed, where the lower bed is 120 cm wide. Next to it is a single bed. There is a double sofa bed (120 cm wide) for two people in the living room. The veranda is 30 m², with a stunning view of the valley. Enjoy the sound of a river 100 meters away. The washing machine is placed in the bathroom. Final cleaning: Cleaning cannot be ordered and must be done by the guests before leaving the holidayhome. The cottage is the perfect starting point for day excursions, with visits to museums, information centers, stave churches, galleries and activities like paddling, rafting, fjord cruise, glacier walks, mountain climbing and hiking. You can catch small trout in the river, or go fishing in the many mountain lakes nearby. Buy your fishing license in Øvre Årdal. Between July 1st and August 31st, there is salmon and sea trout in the water system Årdalsvassdraget 6 km away, consisting of 3 rivers. The outdoor swimming pool in Øvre Årdal, with a 50 meter pool and slides, is heated to 28 degrees throughout the whole summer. This is the perfect cottage for family and friends with an active lifestyle. In winter from the snow arrives in December to May, you have free access to a 6 km long flood-lit track for cross country skiing, 2 km away. On weekends during winter there is a café and alpine slope for children.
