The apartment is within a castle of XIII century. It's a place where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the sea and the mountain (Monte Faito). The castle is located directly on the beach. You can move freely in the castle and in the gardens of the castle, use the swimming pool and the beach as well. Both swiming pool and beach are provided with a lifeguard.
The castle is a minute away from the main street, where you can find lots of nice places to eat. Vico Equense itself is a very nice small town. Very close to Vico Equense you can visit Meta, Monte Faito, Ercolano, Pompei, Vesuvio (as historical places) and Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Capri and Anacapri.
You are allowed to enjoy all the common areas, terraces, gardens, swimming pool and beach. There is also a room with table tennis table and a table for foosball. There is also a foodball field. At the beach the use of a sun bed or of an umbrella is 5 Euros, while the use of a chair is only 2.5 Euros. At the beach is available a service bar where you can take a drink.
The apartment is divided into two different independent apartments. Each apartment has space for 2- 4 persons, but It's suggested for 2. For 4-5 persons I would suggest to take 2 rooms (2 apartments).
Each apartment has a bathroom with the shower with cabin and a kitchen and four beds. One double bed and 2 single beds.
The apartment itself is not big but functional.
In the castle there are two washing machines available, which can be used for a small amount of money per load to wash.
To dry the clothes, swimsuit etc. there is on the roof top of the castle the possibility to lay the clothes to dry (there is a camera system to monitor this area).
In the apartment itself there is no Wi-Fi available, but is available in the castle.
A big flat TV is available in the castle, visible in the pictures of the advertisement.
For the aircondition, due to the limits of historical castle, is taking time to install it. Temporary there is a fan and a mobile airconditioner, which you can use.
On the windows there is a tool to not allow to the mosquitos to enter and a cartain to not let the light enter. (When there is a strong wind both tools have to be kept closed).
The toilet seat has been replaced with a new one.
The train station is 400 meters away from the castle.
You can reach the castle by car and there is free parking, by bus directly from the Naples’s airport (Capodichino), or, by train (the train is called Circumvesuviana). The train stop and the bus stop is Vico Equense. On request it's possible to book a private taxi.
