The gîte has a surface area of around 65 m² with a 15 m² balcony terrace; You will appreciate the calm and the greenery, as well as a very well equipped functional furnished apartment. The finishes are of quality, the household linen (sheets, duvet covers, hand towel) are provided as well as the free Wifi.

We are located a few kilometers from the Circuit du Souvenir, in a beautiful green countryside. From the Newfoundland park to the Thiepval memorial, passing by the Ulster tower, you will discover sites rich in History. The Albert Shelter Museum (19 km) traces the lives of soldiers in the trenches during the Battle of the Somme. The Historial of the Great War (40 km) located in Péronne, in the Somme department, is at the same time a museum of the history of the First World War, an international research center and a documentation center. Not far from us (20km), you will discover Arras. This beautiful city is renowned for its two magnificent Baroque squares which form an architectural ensemble unique in the world, its belfry and its Citadel, both classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. With 225 buildings protected as historic monuments, Arras is the city with the highest density of monuments in France. Its Museum of Fine Arts regularly hosts works from the collections of the Palace of Versailles. Amiens is 40 km away, with its cathedral, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO and its hortillonnages. The immense beaches of the English Channel are less than 100km away.

This is a lovely smart apartment, in a quiet location. It was nice to have the balcony over looking the garden. The hosts were very attentive. We had an enjoyable stay visiting the WW1 cemeteries and museums.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung, in der man sich auch bei schlechtem Wetter (was wir allerdings nie hatte.

Sehr erholsam. Ideal für Radtouren, da es auf dem Land kaum Verkehr gibt. Auch Städtetouren und Fahrten zum Meer sehr leicht zu machen.

La Grange

La Grange is a great place to stay with a wonderfully well equipped kitchen that had everything we could wish for. The balcony has views over Hélène & François garden but is secluded with it's own private entrance off the street. The area is great for visiting WW1 cemeteries & memorials. Hélène & François made us very welcome & suggested places of interest to visit.

Comfortably furnished, light and well equipped, this is a home from home. On one level, it is private with a large balcony overlooking the owner’s garden, (but not the house) a bright lounge/kitchen/dining room. Itnos very well equipped and the owners are very helpful but not at all invasive.

Eine in jedem Fall sehr lohnenswerte Wiederholung

Wer an einen Ort (Region und Wohnung) zurückkehrt, weiß genau, warum er das tut!!! Wir hatten wieder eine absolut interessante, erlebnisreiche, sehr angenehme und erholsame Zeit in der wunderbaren Ferienwohnung im Pas-de-Calais. Leider war es diesmal nur eine Woche. Wir kehrten an einige Orte zurück und entdeckten neue. In der Region Hauts-de-France gibt es viel Sehenswertes. Und nach einem mit Erlebnissen prall gefüllten Tag kann man ganz wunderbar entspannen bei einem leckeren regionalen Essen in der gemütlichen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung. Besonders schön ist der Blick aus dem großen Gartenfenster in den beginnenden Morgen: eine Belohnung für Frühaufsteher. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder! Vielen Dank, liebe Gastgeber, auch für den Tipp mit der super interessanten Picasso-Ausstellung im Louvre Lens, schon die Architektur des Museumsgebäudes beeindruckt absolut!

Wunderbarer Norden

Im Herbst in den Norden? Aber natürlich!!! Es gibt so viel zu entdecken und genießen in der großen Region Hauts-de-France: kleine Schlösser, absolut leckeren Stinkekäse, geniales Bier, wunderbare Gärten und Überreste alter Abteien, sogar eine unterirdische Stadt, winzige Straßen durch unendlich weite Rübenfelder, glückliche Kühe auf supergrünen Weiden, hübsche Städte, sonnige Marktplätze mit schönen Häusern, das Glockenläuten der Beffrois, fröhliche Menschen, das Meer, die stille Schönheit der Somme-Bucht und unendlich viele Kiesel am Strand... Das alles ist Freude! Die Region ist andererseits aber auch ein wichtiger Ort der Erinnerung an das sinnlose Sterben im 1. Weltkrieg. Eine Reise in die Region Hauts-de-France ist absolut lohnenswert! Umso mehr in diese wunderbare Ferienwohnung! Es fehlt wirklich an absolut nichts für einen gelungenen Urlaub, egal, ob man als Entdeckungsreisender erst abends wieder in die gemütliche Wohnung zurückkehrt oder den ganzen Tag dort auf der Couch oder der Terrasse (mit Mantel war das sogar noch in der Oktobersonne möglich) verbringt. Von der Terrasse im Obergeschoss schaut man in den verträumten Garten der Vermieter, deren Haus sich, von der Ferienwohnung aus nicht sichtbar, auf dem Grundstück befindet. Da die Ferienwohnung einen separaten Eingang zur Straßenseite hat, trifft man sich eigentlich nie. Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in einer umgebauten Scheune. Eine recht steile Treppe führt ins Glück, aber oben angekommen, weiß man, der Aufstieg hat sich gelohnt. Die Wohnung ist modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Gute Heizungen sorgen für Wärme an kühlen Herbstabenden. Flamiche au Maroilles im Backofen, Pâté vom Fleischer aus dem Dorf, ein kühles Bier der Region, was braucht man mehr!?! Man fühlt sich einfach absolut wohl! Das ist Glück! Die Ferienwohnung liegt günstig für Touren durch die gesamte Region Hauts-de-France. Von Amiens oder Arras aus ist man auch schnell mit dem Zug in Paris. Vielen Dank für den herzlichen Empfang und die Tipps. Sehr gern kommen wir wieder!!!

We highly recommend this accommodation which was spacious and modern and comfortably sleeps four. All amenities were top notch and well equipped for cooking a meal which could be eaten inside or on the lovely terrace. Our hostess Helene was very gracious and helpful and made us feel very welcome. A list of local attractions and shops was made available, along with brochures for several notable locations in the area. A perfect stop on your battlefield tour or your travels through Northern France.

Delightful Gite with Friendly Owners

My husband and I stayed here for five nights with our cat. The owners were most helpful and very welcoming. The gite itself has been recently built and is extremely well-equipped. The balcony is a lovely, quiet place to sit and overlooks a large garden and orchard. The location is perfect for those wanting to visit WW1 sites. I thoroughly recommend this as an excellent place to stay in this part of France.
