Family stay
We rented all 5 cottages for family as we had a wedding at a venue near by. The cottages were spotless and had everything we needed. We did have a few issues with Wi-Fi and it wasn’t available for most of the stay, but I think that was due to a local incident. Katie was on hand when needed and the hot tubs were regularly cleaned and topped up. It’s a beautiful location and we really enjoyed our stay.

Ideal for family and friends
Excellent in all respects. Communication with the owner was very helpful with advice on deliveries and eating out. Perfect accommodation for a mix of private and social possibilities. Well equipped to a high standard with the addition of dishwashers and coffee machines. The hot tubs, although extras, were a real bonus.

We moved down from Surrey in 2003 having seen Helscott in August 2002,John still worked in London as a police officer for the next 3years whilst we got on with converting the original farm buildings, we decided to keep as much of the character as possible so bought lots of items from auction sites to give a country feel.

Why they chose this property

We saw Helscott in August , the bank holiday weekend, and fell in love with the viewdown to the sea, so close to the coast and only a couple of minutes from Bude, the perfect location.

What makes this property unique

A rural setting yet in easy reach of sea, town and all the attractions Devon and Cornwall had to offer, a really lovely part of the world which we call Enid Blyton Country.
