Villa dei Germogli is situated just 3.5 km from Positano, along the panoramic road leading from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The villa's name is inspired by the fact that it is completely immersed in a vast olive-grove which stretches over the cliff terraces and overlooks the sea. The villa is 310 metres squared and can accommodate up to 12 people. It extends over 7 hectares and is cultivated with olives and fruit trees. It boasts a wealth of fascinating footpaths that climb up the sea-facing slope of the mountainside.
Villa dei Germogli is built around a 6 x 10 m swimming-pool and is surrounded by open-air living-rooms with bamboo furniture, which provide delightful meeting points for guests. The villa has 4 separate areas which are spread over different levels. The ground floor has a large living-room with a fireplace and TV and access to the garden. Two of the four double bedrooms, which all have ensuite bathrooms with showers and air-conditioning, are on the ground floor. One of the double bedrooms also has a single bed so can accommodate up to 3 guests.
The second area is on a raised floor and has a 'suite' with a double bed, bathroom with hydro-massage shower and a large living room with access to private terrace. The third level has the final 'suite' with a double bed, single bed, bathroom with shower and private terrace. The fourth area is on a raised floor and boasts a large kitchen with dining area. There is also a fifth bathroom with a shower on this level. These four levels are connected to one other by fascinating external paths which has enabled the creation of a fantastic garden, rich in vegetation and full of enchanting secret corners.
Villa dei Germogli has large panoramic terraces with plenty of bamboo furniture so that you can dine 'al fresco' whilst enjoying the stunning sea view. As the villa is divided into several areas, each of the four double bedrooms is a stunning 'suite' which are skilfully furnished and inspired by different styles including rustic, eighteenth century and oriental. All the suites have fully equipped bathrooms and the two main suites also enjoy wide panoramic windows and air-conditioning. Villa dei Germogli is equipped with all modern conveniences such as TV, stereo, dishwasher, washing-machine and WIFI internet connection.
Its wonderful location means that all the main sights are within easy access including Sorrento (only 15km), Positano and its beautiful beaches (only 3.5km) and Naples (only 60km). We a recommend a car when staying here, although there is a bus stop 150 metres away. If you do have a car, you can park it in the secure, gated area. There is space for up to 3 mid-sized cars.
