The nearest beaches, Mouragia and Faliraki, are only 150 metres away, along the sea promenade, and if you would like to leave all the hustle and bustle behind and enjoy a picturesque view of Corfu Town, you can take the boat to Vidos islet. Explore Corfu's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its ancient side streets, and drive over the hill of Kanoni, where you discover Pontikonisi (meaning Mouse Island). Admire the greenery around you, as well as the tall trees. Visit the palace of Achilleion; admire its beautiful statues and explore the Imperial gardens, which provide you with a majestic view of the nearby green hills and Ionian Sea. The palace and its surroundings abound with statues and paintings of Achilles, as well as both heroic and tragic images from the Trojan War.
