PREMIER HOST Private 3 bdrm, Fully Air-Conditioned villa in Blue Bay


The location provides one of the shortest walks to the beach in the resort and is great for couples or families.
We take great pride in providing our guests a wonderful holiday stay. Villa Troupial is a Caribbean styled FULLY AIR-CONDITIONED "Single Detached Villa" (meaning the unit is not shared with any upper or lower guest).
Highlights are the vaulted ceilings and immense outdoor space providing you the optimum Caribbean experience.
The location of the villa provides a private and serene experience for 1-6 persons with outstanding views of the golf course, owners pool and lovely gardens.

BlueBay Resort is an 8-minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes to downtown Willemstad.
As a guest you will have access to a stunning beach with full use of sun beds, owner pool, 18-hole golf course, 5-star PADI dive shop, beach bar, and restaurants. While the resort is gated and has 24 hr. security, the island is very safe to traverse any time of day or night. (We highly recommend getting out and about).

The villa features over 1600 sq ft of space, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a large wrap around deck that provide outdoor living and dining at its best, a well-appointed kitchen including dishwasher and ample appliances.

Master and second bedroom have large closets and en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans, AC, and ample lighting. The 3rd bedroom has twin beds and AC for comfort. All bedroom windows have screens to enhance the breeze throughout the home. For your convenience a safe is located in the master closet.

The veranda is the star of the show with an amazing views. A large lounge area awaits your group (great place for late day or evening drinks and conversation), the dining table easily accommodates six persons, and two loungers provide a great place for that afternoon nap.
Enjoy the trade winds, along with the sounds & sightings of parrots, bananaquits, and of course the colorful “TROUPIAL.” In the evenings the deck is attractively lighted, has ceiling fans for comfort, and provides a lovely setting for games or just relax and enjoy quality time with family & friends.

Exactly as advertised! Great location, and great accommodations. Blue Bay was a perfect place to stay. The villa was a perfect combination of a private home with all the amenities of a resort. Hosts were extremely easy to work with and very communicative. Highly recommend.

We loved the villa. A separate property, not a condo or duplex. Great location. Ten minute walk to Blue Bay Beach, which has nice palapas and chairs. Snorkeling good as well. Close to Centrum supermarket - 5 min drive. Fifteen to 20 minutes to nice restaurants. Thirty to 45 minutes to west end beaches. One of the nicest Vrbo properties we have rented, and we have rented many.

I'm very happy with my choice. The location was great, it was close to the Resort beach and shopping. We loved being so close to the pool it was refreshing after a day out at the beaches and sightseeing. We had our morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the deck watching the humming birds and other birds visiting the trees. The house beach was was very nice.

Stunning views, fantastic location, cozy vacation villa!

This villa served as the perfect home base for our 7-day Curacao vacation! With 3BR and 2.5 baths, our family of 4 had spaces to gather and spaces to enjoy quiet time, when needed. The expansive deck provides gorgeous views at all hours of the day--we especially enjoyed drinking our morning coffee there, playing card games, and taking in the Curacao sunsets. You're a stone's throw away from a gorgeous swimming pool and a short walk to Blue Bay Beach and multiple resort restaurants. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you'll need to prepare meals and the villa is well air-conditioned throughout. We enjoyed our first visit to Curacao and thank you for opening your home for other families to enjoy!

Great Location

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation. We had 6 adults, kids were 18-21. The 3rd bedroom was a bit small for two 18 year old girls and their stuff, however we managed just fine. The reality is we were not in our rooms much. The location of the vila to everything at the resort was great. Joe was quick to respond to my questions and Erika was so pleasant and responsive, as well. Had a great vacation.

Wonderful Vacation

From the day we booked the experience was great. Communication with the owners and property manager was very good. The villa is beautifully kept with all needed ammeneties for a relaxing stay. Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this well looked after property. The resort is family friendly and quiet with a lovely pool close by and the beautiful beach within a 5 minute walk.

Wonderful Time in Curacao

Villa is beautifully situated on upscale property with private beach and golf course. Flamingos from nearby bird sanctuary visit ponds throughout the day. Villa is a single unit without partner villas sharing walls, so environment is very private and quiet.

Excellent property and location

My family and I stayed at villa 40 for 12 days over August and had a great vacation. The villa is private, clean, only a 5 min walk to the beach and nicely appointed w local art. Communication w the owner was excellent. Any question we had was promptly responded to. The proximity to Willemstad and the northern beaches of curaçao is also excellent. The blue bay beach, dive shop and all other amenities in the resort are excellent although some of the information provided is out of date (ie. no fishing boat, sunset cruise catamaran or kayaks are available at this location). Overall, we loved our experience and hope to be back.

Clean, spacious, accommodating, perfect location

We had a wonderful stay at Villa 40. Pre visit, the owners provided all information to help us with planning and answered many questions promptly and with excitement and great recommendations. Directions and check in instructions ensured no issues with arrival or access. Villa 40 is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. We felt like we were right at home but with a stunning veranda and 85 degrees! The location was perfect for us, conveinces but also short travel to all of our exploring destinations. Retuning to this Villa would be a dream come true. We will certainly search for this accommodation when visiting Curaçao again Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise!

Great for families

The villa is clean, well maintained and carries all the essentials. My family of five was very comfortable despite the heat. The resort is very nice. My son finished his open water dive at the dive shop. They were very accommodating and professional. The girls loved the beach and the pizza at the nearby take-out. They loved the iguanas and the cats. The resort is in a perfect location near the airport, grocery store and downtown. The people make the place. They are friendly and so helpful to tourists. The only two challenges for us were the heat and the bugs. Be prepared if you go in August and September!

Great trip

This villa is close enough to the beach at Blue Bay (< 5 min walk) and situated well that you can drive 30-45 mins north or south to visit all the different beaches. We snorkeled at 5 different beaches, each a little different. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements and storage containers that you can cook for yourselves and have some leftovers for a quick lunch the next day. The deck is wonderful to hang out and relax. Regular sized washer and dryer was a must for us as well with a family of 5. The large, well stocked Carrefour supermarket at the Sambil mall is minutes away. The prep material we received just prior to the trip was very helpful and the manager popped in shortly after our arrival and answered all our remaining little questions about the villa and even about parking in Willemstad etc. Made it all easy and a wondeful trip.

Unfortunately we can not give this property a 5 star rating

Day1 we sat on the outside furniture & immediately started getting bitten but never saw a mosquitos. The next day we saw one of the 3-4 cats under the lounge chairs and My husband said the cats were probably laying on the chairs. we looked at the chair cushions & realized ALL the cat hair on the underside of the cushions. We were getting bites from cat fleas not mosquitoes biting us. You could clearly see that the cushions were not stored out the way of the cats and that they live on the furniture and the cleaning people flipped the chairs cushions over to hide the cat hair instead of cleaning and removing the cushions while the property is vacant. Once contacted someone came to vacuum the chairs but nothing was sprayed for fleas. We had to buy spray from the store to. This villas needs professional to be spraying unless you don’t mind scratching bites the entire trip. Next we had ants in every room. Someone came & sprayed but an exterminator is needed because within a few minutes the ants came back. Also, The master mattress was rock hard and there was only 2 thin pillows in the master room and 1 for each twin bed. We requested additional pillows but they didn’t have any. The villa does not supply wash cloths only large towels and hand towels. We had to request more because we only received 4 for the 6 people. The owner offered a credit if we went and bought our own from the store. The inside sofas can only accommodate 3-4 people. The other people would have to sit on the high bar stools or bring in the outdoor furniture. Finally the property needed a good cleaning/and updating. The floors were dusty, not recently mopped, the counter tops and table top was dusty, we saw cat hair & dust balls in the living room and bedrooms and the bath rooms could use a good scrubbing, toilet seats replace, and there was a sewerage smell that could come up in the bathroom. Also the comforters on the beds had stains and appeared not to have been washed in between guest. There were several door stops which we later found out were used to keep the doors from rattling from the wind outside. We eventually folded up store bag to stuff in the gaps between the door and frame. Pros: the private beach and close proximity to other beaches and city center, responsiveness of the owner and his willingness to try and resolve any issue. The owner ended up providing a refund of 20 percent.

SUPERB VILLA at Blue Bay

Well-appointed inside and out, especially the huge deck where we enjoyed meals, happy hour etc! The excellent snorkeling at Blue Bay was a PLUS, and we enjoyed drinks and snacks there. Many friendly kitties roam and visit you IF you want them to! Villa perfectly located for visiting other beaches or trips into Williamstad. We will be going back!

A Perfect Hub for Relaxation and Exploring Curaçao

We had an incredible stay at this Blue Bay Vrbo! The home is located in a safe, private community that felt like a true oasis—quiet, tranquil, and beautifully maintained. The beach is just a short walk and is one of the best on the island. The sunsets were absolutely stunning, and the snorkeling right off the shore was incredible with so much sea life to see.The house itself is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was fully equipped and made it easy to cook and enjoy meals at home—especially on the gorgeous wrap-around deck. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for exploring the island. Highly recommend for couples, families, or anyone looking to experience Curaçao in comfort and style.

House at Blue Bay

We had another wonderful stay at this house at Blue Bay. We enjoyed grilling and eating on the large deck with a lovely view of the treetops and pool. Blue bay beach was the epitome of relaxation and so convenient. We also had fun adventures at the national park, caves, and the beaches on west side of the island.

Hi, we are Joe and Michelle, and we would greatly enjoy hosting your stay. We chose Curacao as our second home over 19 years ago after traveling to over 40 island destinations. In the past 3 years we have both retired and relocated from the New Jersey to Iowa for our US base. This enables us to spend several months a year in Curacao while traveling to other destinations around the world. Prior to retiring Michelle was a Veterinarian and Joe was a VP of facilities construction, our hobbies include scuba, snow skiing, golf, and adventure travel.
We take a great deal of pride in providing you a well-maintained accommodation and ensuring you have a wonderful holiday. We are happy to answer any questions or provide you any information you require.
We were drawn to BlueBay Curacao not just because of the beach, scuba, and golf but the diverse culture of the locals, the European feel of Willemstad, and the ability to go about the island 24 hrs. a day without worry.
Lastly as avid scuba divers we are happy to provide detail info related to diving and dive sites.

Our ability to spend a good deal of time in Curacao ensures our villa stays well maintained and items are updated / replaced regularly. We treat your experience as we would want if we were renting a vacation property. Features we feel you will appreciate. First it is a (stand-alone villa) meaning no-one is staying above or below you. Secondly, we are one of 3 villas that are fully air conditioned. We are also pleased to provide you access to our personal washer & dryer.
Enjoy the Caribbean construction style, vaulted ceilings, with large sliding double doors that open to the large veranda allowing for unique outdoor living. Retractable Sunshades that block the sun but not the view while you relax and enjoy your afternoon cocktail. As the villa is on a rise, we have wonderful views over-looking the golf course, and owner pool. the location of the villa creates a quiet space on the veranda while the gardens, trees, and bushes allow for numerous birds and parrots to visit the villa.
