We couldn't use our week this year -- our loss, YOUR WIN! "Week 50" (Dec 18-24) is the last week it can be used.

We purchased our timeshare after retirement, and we live near some of our children and grand children in New England. Unfortunately we are not able to make the trip as often as we would like, so need to rent out some of our time-share allotment in order to maintain ownership.

Why they chose this property

As residents of the New England area, we were and are attracted to this winter get-away where clear warm weather is almost guaranteed. The desert surroundings provide an emphasis to the get-away nature of the area. We came down here to swim with the sea lions in the Sea of Cortez and were taken by the blue sky, the ocean, the sand. Exploring the surrounding desert was a treat - here it is a garden of plenty compared to the Mojave and Sonoran deserts of California and Arizona. We decided to come back often, which is not typical for us.

What makes this property unique

Specifically, Sunset Beach is unique in that every unit has an incredible ocean view. Unlike resorts along the "corridor" between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, downtown Cabo is still very accessible -- either by private car, taxi, or a shuttle bus to sister property Rosé -- and yet, it is set away from the chaos, traffic, and energy of the town. Nights are peaceful, and you can fall asleep to the waves crashing on the beach. The landscape and cascading bougainvillea are a gardener's dream. Various pools cater to different needs, whether it is the "adults only" pool, the "sky pool", or the main pool with all the activities, swim-up pool bar, and access to the beach.

Cabo in general is a special place. If deep-sea fishing is your thing, this is the place. If you love golf-pro designed courses, Cabo has you covered. Duty-free shopping and artisan souvenirs await in town, along side cultural museums, swimming with dolphins, and amazing restaurants. If you love the nightlife, there is no shortage of options. Want to scuba dive with hammerhead sharks? Got it. Prefer observing from a glass bottom boat? Got it. Day trips? Try Todos Santos or San Jose del Cabo - both wonderful choices. Want to stay put on a lounge chair by the pool? That's ok too!
