The apartment is located on the ground floor on the northwest side of the house. The apartment is composed as follows: independent entrance, living room with built-in kitchen and sofa bed, 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 2 beds (or double bedroom), bathroom with shower (bidet and shower box). In front of the entrance of the apartment there is a private space with table and deck chairs and an old oak which acts as a natural umbrella during the warm months.
In a panoramic position, only 4 km from Roccastrada, Agriturismo Poggio Macinaio offers you a stay in the quiet of nature. We are located between the provinces of Grosseto and Siena immersed in the beautiful landscape of the Tuscan Maremma. All around the farmhouse, centuries-old oaks, olive trees, lots of space and lots of tranquility ideal for regenerating yourself from the busy life of today. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking view up to Monte Amiata.

The closest village is Roccastrada 4 km away. We are in the upper Tuscan Maremma, in
strategic position to easily reach (30-40 cars), Siena, Monte Amiata, Pienza and the Crete Senesi, in addition to the most beautiful beaches of the Maremma such as Castiglione, Follonica, Alberese.
A few km away we find:
The Terme di Petriolo (sulfur waters at 43 ° with free access to the pools)
The Farma River Nature Reserve.
The Canaloni on the Farma River, an ideal place for swimming and diving.
Massa Marittima and the Accesa lake with spring water.
There are countless paths for trekking and mountain biking
along paths linking the ruins of old castles, parish churches and medieval villages.

Comfortable and convenient

Graziella was incredibly accommodating and helpful. The location is very convenient for visiting Siena, Florence, and the beaches. Set in a peaceful location, there are great walks in the area. The children really loved the swimming pool.

Nice and clean but a bit remote

Very nice hosts and a nice, quiet area which is a bit more remote than expected. Everything can only be reached by car, at least 30-50 kilometers driving distance. Wi-Fi is not available at night which could be a problem for some, otherwise an almost perfect place to switch off.

Thank you for a nice vacation

Graziella is a nice and helpful host and the property is well maintained. We spent nice 2 weeks. The pool is quite large and the kids loved it. In the original Tuscan house there is a small kitchen equipped with the basics. There are no baking oven and no dishwasher, though (for colder days there is a Chimney, but we didn't use it in summer, obviously). Due to the nice stone walls the temperature inside the house wasn't too hot even on hot days. The only little downside is that you need to take the car for basically anything but the wider area offers a lot of interesting things to do. thanks, Graziella!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Ferienwohnung. Die Wohnung ist hübsch und sauber und hat alles was man braucht. Der Pool ist herrlich und man hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Die Lage ist einsam und es ist sehr ruhig. Die Gastgeber sind herzlich und hilfsbereit.

Traumhaft schön! Ein Paradies mitten in der Natur

Wir sind als Familie verreist mit 2 Kindern ( 6&16 ) und hatten einen wunderschöne Zeit dort.Wer abschalten möchte ist hier genau richtig.Die Gastgeber haben uns herzlich willkommen geheißen und sind ganz wundervolle Menschen,die immer hilfsbereit und freundlich waren.Wir haben es genossen in der Natur unseren Kaffee am Morgen zu trinken oder ein Glas Rotwein am Abend am Kamin zu trinken.Hier kann man den Stress hinter sich lassen und entspannen.Gleichzeitig hat man eine gute Lage um Städte wie Siena zu besichtigen oder die heißen Quellen der Toskana zu besuchen.Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Das war leider nichts

Wir haben genau eine Nacht dort verbracht und sind dann sofort abgereist und mussten uns eine neue Unterkunft suchen. Begründet war dies vor allem dadurch, dass die gesamte Wohnung saukalt war (Heizung war aus). Auch die Nächte in der Toskana sind Ende September frischer. Man hat uns ein Bettlaken und einen Bettüberwurf zum Zudecken gegeben, alte, stinkende Decken waren noch im Schrank zu finden, das Kind fror die ganze Nacht, wir auch. Insgesamt rustikales Ambiente, allerdings schon so rustikal, das es einem Mittelaltermuseum gleicht, auch vom Standard her. In der Küche kein Backofen (lt. Inserat nicht ersichtlich, dass keiner da ist). Die Küche ist so fotografiert, dass man das nicht sieht bzw. es steht da "Küchenzeile mit Zubehör". Bei Ankunft wurden auf einmal 150,00 € Kaution verlangt (für was?). Man gibt an 4 Sprachen zu sprechen, darunter Deutsch und Englisch. Wenn 3 Wörter auf Deutsch gesprochen wurden und 3 Sätze auf Englisch war das viel, die Kommunikation war träge und zäh. Deutsch und Englisch wurde von uns fließend gesprochen, die Probleme wurden durch uns auch kommuniziert. Ob man davon alles verstanden hat wage ich zu bezweifeln, da stets nur ein "okay" als Antwort mit fragendem Blick kam. Auch die Anfahrt, die sich mehr als unmöglich erwies, da das Anwesen "in der Pampa" ist, konnte seitens der Gastgeberin nicht nachvollzogen werden. Es führt ein kilometerlanger Schotterweg bis zum Anwesen, kurz vor der Unterkunft findet man mal ein Schild, davor nicht.

Séjour exceptionnel dans un cadre magnifique en pleine nature, repas à l'extérieur avec vue sur les collines et les champs d'oliviers, très grande piscine (profondeur idéale pour un enfant de 7 ans), huile et miel délicieux sur place,... Nous logions dans l'appartement 2 chambres, très cozy. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Un énorme merci à Graziella pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Compter 1 à 2h de route pour atteindre les villes "touristiques" principales. Supermarché et pizzas à emporter à 10 min. Nous repartons le cœur lourd mais du soleil et des souvenirs plein la tête.

Toller Platz in der Natur

Die Wohnung ist einfach eingerichtet und war sehr gepflegt. Das ist überhaupt das ganze Anwesen. Es liegt im schönsten Nichts (wirklich) und man kann Stachelschweine, Wiedehopfe und allerlei Blumen geniessen. Es hat alles, was man braucht und im Umkreis von 40/50 km gibt es heiße Quellen, einen Fluss mit Wasserfall, badegeeignet, Sienna und schönste Wälder und Dörfchen und das Meer. Graziella hatte gute Tipps bezüglich Ausflügen, guten Plätzen und Essen und hat leckeres eigenes Olivenöl und Honig. Der Pool wird emsig gepflegt und ist recht groß, allerdings darf man nicht reinspringen und zu wild machen. Für Kinder ist das ein wenig einschränkend.

Herzliches Idyll!!

Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sind hier die Schlüssel zum Glück. Dies erreicht man hier über eine 2Km lange Zufahrt über einen Feldweg. Der Porschefahrer wird hier unter Umständen etwas Herzblut lassen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Räume sind alle in einem sehr gepflegten, sauberen und liebevoll eingerichteten Zustand. Die Besitzer wohnen mit im Objekt. Man bekommt davon allerdings kaum etwas mit. Beide sind unglaublich nett. Olivenöl und Wein des Hauses sind unbedingt empfehlenswert! Der Pool wird mit geradezu stoischer Hingabe gepflegt und rein gehalten. Wir haben die 14 Tage sehr genossen. Danke dafür!

Erholung pur

Zwei Wochen haben wir in der Ferienwohnung verbracht. Wir wurden herzlich aufgenommen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, man hört wirklich nur die Grillen zirpen. Wir sind sehr erholt nach Hause gefahren.

Sehr entspannte Flitterwochen

Authentiek en vriendelijk Toscane

Prachtig plek en huis met uitzichten! De eenvoud van t appartement was prettig en toch met alles voorzien. Heel toffe gastvrouw en heer. Omgeving prachtig en rustig. Tip: Wellicht een luifel en iets gemakkelijker stoelen aan voorkant van ons appartement.

Ruhige Ferienwohnung, ideal zur Entspannung

Ruhige abgelegene Lage ohne TV, Wifi problemlos nutzbar. Gemütlicher Kamin und sehr gut gepflegte Einrichtung. Aufmerksame Vermieterin, Heizung bei kalten Temperaturen nutzbar und in der Vorsaison auch notwendig.
