Sadly we only had a very short 1 evening stay at this beautiful location. We would have enjoyed more time here. In that short time we received above and beyond care. I asked where we might be able to find ice when checking in. The nearest market was already closed for the evening. Olwen from reception was so nice. She said she couldn’t promise, but her husband might be able to help. An hour or so later her husband knocked on the door with our special delivery. So incredibly kind. Thank you again!

as below
The only real problem lay in the fact the hot water system is very poor with practically no hot water at bath time despite use of the booster system. It needs power to heat the water every afternoon for say three hours.
It would be better if wood burners replace the open fires as heat not great.

Excellent escape
Despite typical January weather we spent a lovely week at Melfort Village with friends. Our unit was located close to the shore of the loch with beautiful views over the loch. All staff at the resort were friendly and welcoming but I would make special mention of Olwyn from Customer Services. She provided excellent information about the surrounding area and places of interest and if you attend the musical evening and the gin tasting event you will find that she is very talented. We had an enjoyable dining experience in the Shower of Herring. The unit is well equipped and very comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending Melfort Village.

last minute short break
Lochside location great for peace & tranquility. Property was very well appointed with large garden. Facilities at the village which is half a mile away were ok with nice pool, tennis court, games rooms & small restaurant / bar. Fabulous view over loch. Parking for min.2 cars.
Telephone & radio reception was non existant at the property but is generally poor in the Highlands everywhere.
Great wildlife around the loch.
Property would suit large family or sharing by friends.
Would consider re-booking if visiting this area again.

Great place to enjoy
Beautiful place to experience quiet and peace in excellent accommodation - especially if weather good. It is remote and roads are full of bends so take care!

Fabulous cottage
Fabulously located cottage with direct access to the loch.
Well equipped kitchen which is large and a great social area for this property.
It is definitely bigger than it looks from the outside; all rooms bright and spacious.
A special thank you to Fiona.on reception who did everything possible to make this third stay as wonderful as ever.
Pity I couldn't have seen the cleaners upon departure to thank them for an outstanding job.
Thanks to all and we'll done once more.
