Lovely clean little cottage with good kitchen equipment and super comfy bed. Slightly strange arrangement to get round to outside seating but because of the weather we were only able to use it once. We were disappointed that the owner who lives on site did not make contact with us although we saw her around. Really beautiful area with lots to do.

Lovely cottage for 2, easy to get to, well equiped, quiet, reasonably priced.
Lovely cottage for 2, easy to get to, well equiped, quiet, reasonably priced. Not much around but also not too far to Thirsk if you need shopping or fuel or more eating out establishments.Snowed the weekend we visited so hardly left the cottage, heating was good. Hardly saw a soul but it was a nice place to read, eat and drink. We will probably try to visit again to do the things that the weather prohibited.

Beautiful cottage & surrounding area.
Beautiful cottage & surrounding area. No local amenities except a lovely pub but shops etc about 4 miles away so good base for going out. Could do with a couple of signs as off the main road & easily driven past. Only fault with the cottage was there was no plug in the bathroom sink. Lovely welcome from the owner.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bilsdale.
We really enjoyed our stay at Bilsdale. The accommodation was pleasant and clean. The owners were friendly and the location was ideal for us as it was quiet with some nice walks near by. It was also easy to get to other places from there. This is by far the nicest place we have booked for a holiday.

This is a very tastefully presented cottage in a wonderful part of Yorkshire.
This is a very tastefully presented cottage in a wonderful part of Yorkshire. We chose it because we could see from the website that it was all on one level and I am disabled. However, level does not mean accessible and there are one or two changes to make for it to be really usable by a disabled person. The owner does not describe it as accessible, but it could be made so. Some of the kitchen ware is very worn and needs replacing. Otherwise, charming and delightful with lambs in the field next door as an added bonus.
