The cottage was very clean when we arrived.
The cottage was very clean when we arrived. It had everything we needed and reflected well the price we paid for the week. This property is several hundred years old so some things are awkward, like the stairs and door ways.

We had a lovely, relaxing week staying at Tranquility Cottage.
We had a lovely, relaxing week staying at Tranquility Cottage. On arrival, we'd been left a bottle of milk, wine & chocolates. A nice touch (& meant we could have a coffee after our long drive). Everything was clean. The garden is peaceful & quite large, although there are a couple of escape points our pooch could have got through (which was fine as we either kept him on his lead or put something across patio area to keep him contained). A nice location for visiting lots of Dorset's beaches & walking some of the coastal path. The road outside is quite busy during the day (it's the main route through to Lulworth Cove/Durdle Door) but very quiet at night. We both slept really well. We would definitely recommend & return.
Cottage exceeded my expectations, inside it was quite spacious especially the kitchen, which had everything you could possibly need. Bathroom is a decent size, plenty of hot water and towels.
The garden is large and well presented and perfect if you’re taking your dog.
I was aware of the small, steep stairs from reading reviews, but found that handrails were in the right positions. We only had guests for one night so walking through one bedroom to get to the other was not an issue. The beds were comfortable, plenty of storage.
I didn’t realise that the cottage was right on the road, so care needed when you went out, mostly light traffic but there is buses and during our stay the farmers were harvesting! This did not affect our stay and I would say it was a clean, comfortable cottage which is nicely situated.

What a charming cosy comfy and beautiful cottage! The upgraded duck blue kitchen is large and wonder
What a charming cosy comfy and beautiful cottage! The upgraded duck blue kitchen is large and wonderful to cook in and so well stocked with useful utensils. The garden is magical - long and green even in the winter where I sat outside and had breakfast weather permitting. Very warm . So clean and tidy too!

Loved it and had a much needed break.
Loved it and had a much needed break. Bedrooms directly leading into one another wasn’t ideal and definitely not suitable for 4 adults - best for family with two small children. However, it was really well equipped, clean, comfortable and great garden and log fire. Lovely walks round and about and ideal location for exploring Dorset. Would definitely consider returning to this cottage:)

We had a wonderful stay at Tranquility Cottage.
We had a wonderful stay at Tranquility Cottage. It was incredibly cosy and comfortable, we loved the fire and the kitchen. It was well equipped with everything we needed, including a lovely bottle of wine! The garden was great too, really big, would be lovely in summer. The location was also great, a very short drive to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, with Kimmeridge Bay, West Bay and Old Harry's Rocks also all in reach.
The only two minor issues for us was the shower was really weak and leaky (this could be replaced) and the main road a little noisy in the night.
People with mobility issues would definitely find the stairs a challenge, but this wasn't a problem for us.
Overall, a really lovely stay, we would recommend!
Kate, the housekeeper was also really lovely and helpful.

Excellent place to explore Dorset.
Excellent place to explore Dorset. Good equipment in the kitchen. Traffic noise invasive at night when windows open because of the heat.
