Set in the peaceful village of Grainthorpe on the Lincolnshire coast between Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes, this detached holiday bungalow, adjacent to the owners’ home, offers an ideal location for a relaxing holiday or a comfortable base from which to explore the area. It is just 8 miles from the Georgian town of Louth, which still boasts three markets a week with the very impressive St James Church, Hubbards Hills picnic area and beauty spot as well as a cinema, leisure centre and many excellent restaurants and pubs. Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe are both only a short drive away and have sandy beaches along with all your normal seaside attractions including fun fairs, amusements and Cleethorpes Pier. Grimsby has a Fishing Heritage Centre as well as very good shopping facilities. Good walks and cycle routes are straight from the door with fishing and golf courses all within a short drive. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Avalon is a well equipped home-from-home holiday destination situated in the Lincolnshire countryside. Gill is a very friendly host who keeps the place beautifully clean. The enclosed rear garden is a real sun trap and provides a patio area with seating and a couple of steps gives access to the large raised lawn which offers ample space for play.There are pubs, takeaways and convenience stores within easy reach and the lovely market town of Louth, with its independent shops, cinema and swimming pool, is only eight miles away. Walkers can enjoy a number of signed routes from the village towards the coast or inland and the historic towns of Lincoln, Grimsby and Boston are not too far away.We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing few days here and would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely well kept bungalow in a brilliant location

We had a lovely long weekend at Avalon. The bungalow is well kept, very clean, spacious and the garden lovely. The kitchen is well equipped and there was everything we needed. It is a great location for exploring both the beaches and the Lincolnshire wolds. Gill was very friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay.
