A Great Place to Stay
I was very impressed with Seven Sundays. The cottage was fully equipped; everything we needed was there from toilet paper to tea bags! This was very important to us as we had traveled some distance (three adults and three small children) and to be honest we did not have room for any extras! The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. My husband and I slept in the bunkie (very cozy and comfortable) while our daughter and three grandchildren slept in the house. We especially liked the balcony walkout from upstairs and would sit out, sipping our coffee, watching the sunrise. I must add the presence of a K-cup coffee maker was a real bonus.
The beach is so close to the cottage that we went down every day, sometimes twice! We did some sightseeing and found that the drive to Charlottetown or over to Anne of Green Gables house was very pleasant. We tended to stay in the Souris area and found it quite delightful. It didn't take us long to find the bakery which for us was about a 20 minute walk (each way).
The tips for the vacation were very helpful. We would never have found the beach to look for sand dollars without these directions. We didn't find any but we did enjoy the drive and the beach was beautiful and very quiet. Our grandchildren had a great time at the beach gathering shells, crabs, seaweed and stones.
It was lovely to wake in the morning to the sound of the waves and gulls. We found it very quiet; no traffic noise!
This was our first trip to PEI and I think that this beautiful and well-equipped cottage really contributed to our amazing vacation.
