About this property
Vintage A-frame Cabin with Private River and Scenic Views
Little Wolf Den - A-Frame Cabin. (STR#000358) Escape into the mountains to this destination location where fresh alpine air and a scenic river await your arrival. Nestled in a rural mountain community, along a wild and winding river, our A-frame cabins are situated on two acres with spectacular views. A secluded trail from your cabin leads down to the river where you will find our private beach. While your cabin is backyard to the Enchantments, we are only 15 minutes from Leavenworth and your pets stay free!
Want to see videos of our property during different seasons, see what others have written in our guest book, or discover the excitement of Otter Rapids? …then find us on IG @ Alpineliving_
This cabin is surrounded by lush overhanging branches and nestled amongst the thick trunks of Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Firs. Because this A-frame cabin is built on a small bluff and overlooks the Peshastin Creek amongst a gorgeous tree canopy, many guests have described the feel of our cabin like staying in a magical tree house. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the ever-changing scenery of wildlife and seasons can all be enjoyed right from the comfort of your living room. This ski cabin was constructed in 1968 to stay warm during the coldest of winters and is one of the original cabins built in this rural recreational community. The cabin’s rustic character has been carefully preserved, while striking a balance with modern upgrades and contemporary improvements.

SPRING AND SUMMER
The main attraction from your cabin will definitely be the river, which is usually crystal clear and beautiful in color. Collapsable REI river chairs are provided for the enjoyment of our private beach and property. In early spring you can watch rafters and kayakers fight the rapids from the comfort of your deck. In late summer the river is perfect for soaking your feet and cooling off. We also have several picnic tables around our property for enjoying homecooked meals while taking in views and sounds of the river.
WINTER
When winter arrives, the trail down to the river becomes our famous sledding hill, where you can bring your own sleds or use the ones we provide. We also offer snowshoe rentals ($10) so you and your family can explore our property and the famous Ingall’s Creek Trail only minutes away. Never snowshoed before? That’s ok, you will find a snowhoeing book in your cabin for beginners to advanced and every rental comes with a free lesson.❄️ Although our driveway is quickly plowed after each snowstorm, vehicles with AWD are strongly recommended during the winter season. **No snowboarding or skiing allowed on the property**
NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES
We are one block from the neighborhood community playground where you will find swings, slides, picnic tables, a basketball court and baseball diamond. You will also have access to a spring-fed swimming pond during the summer months. As mentioned we are five minutes from the famous Ingall's Creek Trail which is excellent for scenic hiking, snowshoeing and horseback riding. At the trail's end you will find breathtaking Lake Ingall's and the base of Mount Stuart.
Your cabin is just a short drive away from 97 Rock House, which is a popular spot to enjoy a variety of hand crafted coffee drinks (espresso beans are roasted on site and in small batches), local draft beer, hand-spun milk shakes, breakfast/lunch and they are also pet friendly. (Open 8-5pm daily). During the summer they have live performances by local musicians.
*NOTE* This cabin is perfectly designed to be small and cozy, but also have everything you need to both live and work comfortably. A majority of our guests are single couples or families with small children. This cabin can easily accommodate 3-4 adults, but it will be on the cozy side. Ladder-like stairs lead to the loft bedroom. Also, access to the bathroom is through the downstairs bedroom, so keep that in mind for any nighttime restroom needs. The stairs leading up to your cabin have 12 steps. There is a small trail with a slight downhill grade that leads to our river. If you are elderly or have any mobility issues, the above notes might be good to consider. Some outdoor road noise due to proximity to Hwy 97. I live on the adjacent lot in the cedar home and am usually available to provide assistance.
Looking to have a more private couples getaway with your friends or have a larger family? Rent both of our cabins! The other cabin is just a short walk away, but each cabin has it's own complete privacy. The listing number for the other cabin is VRBO 124353 (Nordic Pine).
*CANCELLATIONS*
We allow cancellations if they are more that 30 days out from your date of arrival. However, we recommend purchasing Travelers Insurance for any unexpected event, inclement weather, forest fire or emergency that may arise less than 30 days before your check-in date.

About the host
Hosted by Sherry
Hi, my name is Sherry and I am retired from the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce media relations department where I had the pleasure of working closely with companies such as the Travel Channel, National Geographic and Good Morning America to help increase the visitors coming to our little town every year, so if you have any questions or would like any suggestions for places to eat or explore I would love to help during your stay.
Why they chose this property
(Only 12 miles from Leavenworth) Enjoy the fast paced village of Leavenworth and then return to a tranquil cabin where the sounds of our river and breathtaking views refresh and renew. Most guests come to see Leavenworth, but find it hard to leave their cozy cabin. During summertime our property below, feels like your very own private water park, plunge into the refreshing pool next to Otter Rock and let the rapids swiftly carry you back to the private beach to do it all over again! (No lifeguard is on duty so please use our river at your own risk.)
What makes this property unique
Cozy riverfront cabin on two acres of property, surrounded by gorgeous Alpine mountains (we are only 1.5 miles from the famous Ingall's Creek Trail). Listen to the calming sound of our river from inside your cabin or walk down to the river and relax on our private beach. Breathtaking river views from every room and complimentary travel chairs are provided to enjoy every part of our unique property.
